Levels 25.8 plus Ketones +4

Work gets you moving and you need to so if you take the extra insulin you need to bring your levels down and are able to use your meter at will then assuming your job isn't one that puts peoples life at risk then yes I would.
Insulin and exercise make the world go round.........no scratch that its........insulin and exercise bring your sugar levels down.....

I feel sure there will be someone along better qualified than me to give proper medical advice but I do wish you well.

Tony

Please don't take this the wrong way but you need to get off your computer and go and run round the block or walk depending on your fitness levels.......
Perhaps I should say that is what I would do in your unfortunate position........

Not being rude

Tony

Thank you waiting for correctional to kick in bad day yesterday high all day despite correcting and changing site etc

Are your levels coming down now? Did your correction work @Tracyann35 ?

Exercsie is something to be careful, about with high blood sugars and ketones. I was advised not to exercise vigorously with a BS over 13.

How are your ketones now?

This too is advice that I've been given - actually I was told over 14, but if I'm over 11 I generally feel sick so exercise isn't top of my list for then! And I try not to exercise with any kind of correction dose on board after too many experiences of sudden lows.

I too was told NOT to exercise and I was told with levels of 12.0 and above.

I hope no-one took my remark as being rude its just that's my way if my levels are too high and as the saying goes it works for me.....
I do hope tracyann35 you are feeling better.
I almost went into a panic for you!

Thanks for everyone's help DSN Dietician are useless when I need help they never return call or respond to emails so slow, back to 18.2 doing well

You said you changed your set, did you also get your insulin from a different vial? Sometimes even the replacement set fails, so it is, on occasion, a case of keep changing 3 or 4 times but I have had insulin "fail" on me a couple of times now in recent months.
