    Covid Prevention Measures for diabetics

That's interesting Dandelade. It must be a horrible thing to catch, but to get it twice is pretty wearing for the body I would think. I guess you built up some resistance though, which improved your symptoms during your second infection. Glad to hear you are well :)

    Covid Prevention Measures for diabetics

Dandelade, can I just ask please. Did you find the second time of acquiring it to be less severe than the first?

    Covid Prevention Measures for diabetics

I have been very careful during the past 18 months or so (a) because my diabetes wasn't controlled and (b) because I am totally responsible for my daughter. However, two months ago I turned that around by gaining diabetic control and assessing my present risks. I do still wear a mask in shops...

Blurry vision caused by dry eyes ? Very worried please help

Annie ... my left eye is blurry too. When I saw a vision consultant last week he said that my right eye is measuring 16 but my left (the blurry one) is 28! I keep wondering if it's with dropping carbs so quickly

    How am I doing?

YEAY! You have taken the most important steps, which of course are throwing out all the bad carbs. THAT is why you feel so good. I threw mine out almost 8 weeks ago now and honestly I am amazed at how much younger and fitter I feel. I'm still on one metformin per day but see my DN next week for...

Type 2 High cholesterol increasing glucose good diet

Some of your story is similar to mine, especially with regard to recent family losses and the stress it causes, and also with your cholesterol levels. I am a big 'nut eater' too, funnily enough! Have you tried Plant Sterols for your cholesterol levels? My GP suggested them to me four years ago...

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

SuNuman mine stuck on 10st for about four weeks!!! I tried everything from longer fasts, to extra walks, and even heavier garden work, but it made no difference. However I now think it's because I lost that first stone in about TEN days! I think my body had to 'catch up' after that before it...

What would you do? Someone who’s just had Covid.

You make some excellent points here Nicole, but we are still seeing well over 30,000 new cases every day and one in seventy of us have it right now. I think if you are a really healthy non-diabetic person, and of course that includes all other debilitating illnesses, and are double jabbed, then...

What would you do? Someone who’s just had Covid.

I know it's meant to be better meeting outdoors, but if it were me then I'd really not take the risk.
