I have a Tandem insulin pump, but I have a link below with a website of different pumps that you could possibly be interested in. http://www.diabetesnet.com/diabetes-technology/insulin-pumps/current-pumps/pump-comparison

    Stress diabetes ???

Although I have not experienced your situation, I have had a low carb snack, but I have never had a cold feeling afterward, yet I have not paid much attention to how I feel after I eat a low carb snack. That is something I will pay attention to next time I eat and will let you know.

    About insulin pumps

Like @azure said, the insulin pump is very small. It's like a very small phone. I wear it most of the time when I am running track. Sometimes, I have to take it off, but only if we are doing a lot of jumping. That is when it might unclip from your pants (or tu tu in dance) so you may have to...

    Type 1: Exam hypo!

I have not been low during something as important as your experience, but I have been low during a Latin test which was not very fun. First, I was low, which, as you know, makes you feel as ****** as I don't know what. Second, you are speaking another language, so I ended up forgetting some of...

    Type 1: Please help? Needlephobe!

I was the same way when I was first diagnosed (hit the needle out of the nurse's hand). It got to the point to where they had to hold me down and a Doctor would give me my insulin. Eventually, I was told to think of it like a life or death situation. If you didn't take the insulin, you would...

    T1D - Continued weight loss

Once I was diagnosed, I had already lost about 20 pounds. About a month to two months afterwards, I gained all of my weight back and gained some more. It all just takes time and eating the right foods so when you gain the weight back, it's not bad weight. Hope this helps.

    Pump or no pump?

The pump literally changes your life. First, you don't have to carry around about of pen needles and your insulin pen. You would have your pump clipped to your side and an extra pump site change just in case (trust me, you want to carry that stuff around) something goes wrong. You would still...

    Nervous about pump... advice?

    1. We need to talk more, we have a lot in common. 2. An insulin pump is not that uncomfortable. Once you put it on a new site and the insulin starts going through the tubing, it feels a little weird, but after an hour, you get used to it. 3. People only notice it if you put it on your arm and...

Have you been told not to test your blood sugars?

I have never been told not to check my glucose. Honestly, I have been told to check it more, even though I already check it 5-7 times a day. Hope this helps.

    HUGE NEWS! PLEASE READ!!

So I know that you pushed the button to read this thread, and it is for a great cause. I learned that in 2018, there is going to be a band called a "K'Track Glucose wearable", which is basically a band that is like a watch/activity watch that checks your glucose without having to do any finger...
