    My First Hypo

If I remember correctly, butter mints are hard and not easily crunchable. I think soft easily chewable, swallowable or quickly dissolving would deliver the necessary sugars more quickly than butter mints , and there's less risk of choking

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

There'd be an element of adrenalin (stress hormones) in that situation, its not all down to food . Don't be so hard on yourself

    ‘Stop Eating After 7pm’ Challenge

Won't make the 7pm deadline tonight. Off out with friends and we're not meeting until 7. Sometimes, just sometimes, diabetes has to come second to the good mental health of a social life (for me any way :))

Probably!! Whether you should have them is another question. Aimed at children they are very small ice creams on a stick. Only about 35g weight they have about 7g carbs each, so way "better" in carb count than a large adult ice cream lolly such as a Magnum Note, Australians call sweets...

@Antje77 barefoot paths sound fun. I always go barefoot when I can but this sounds so much better. After dire warnings of flash floods here, turned out to just need an umbrella! At least garden will look better now. Had a piece of cake at charity sale, because no one else turned out in the...

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

Up a pound. Have been away but that's no excuse as did plenty of exercise. Feel less, belt is looser as are trousers but my body's obviously stuffing it away somewhere. Back home for nearly 6 weeks now with no major social events. Am cutting alcohol right down. Will have occasional mini Magnum...

It depends on your taste and how dilute you make it! Sometimes I just have a splash of water, other times just a splash of wine. Pubs here serve it as a Spritzer which I think first evolved in Italy. Or as cheaper alternative to Prosecco or Champagne. As I find the sweeteners in 'diet' drinks...
