    Constant Lows :(

I was exactly the same as you at the beginning of my pregnancy. And the more hypo I went, the worse my morning sickness got and it was an ongoing circle. It doesn't last though my bloods seemed to change overnight and suddenly I was taking double (now triple) the insulin I was on pre pregnancy...

    HI

Glad you didn't have ketones! Do you know what caused the high in the first place? With regards to the night time hypos have you basal tested through the night to check your dose is right? Claire x

    Diabetes Pump and CGM

I had the same issue, it took me two years to get funding for my pump but it was well worth the wait and was the best thing I ever did. The criteria is very strict though unfortunately. What I did was really push the issue that you desperately want one. Keep on nagging. My hba1c was 0.1mmol...

    HI

I'm on a pump but not the same as you. As far as I'm aware most meters will read HI when bg is above 30mmol. If it were me I would have checked for air bubbles in my tubing, tested for ketones, changed the infusion set and doubled my correction dose. Then I would have made sure I drank plenty...

    Preeclampsia or normal swelling?

That's reassuring, it's mainly my feet and legs and a little bit on the hands and fingers. Nothing on the arms or face :) Will be keeping a very close eye on it! Thank you for your help xx

Polyhydramnios freaking out and crying :(

One of my consultants told me that a lot of women get low readings towards the end of pregnancy (hadn't happened to me though!) Your doctor sounds lovely!! I totally agree with him, I haven't enjoyed a single minute of being pregnant and that is totally down to my diabetes and I haven't had any...

    Preeclampsia or normal swelling?

That's what I thought, it hasn't been long since it was checked and I'm having weekly appointments so I don't think it'll be missed. It just came on quickly. No headaches or anything else just swelling. Xx

    Preeclampsia or normal swelling?

Thank you, I had it done on Tuesday and am having it done again on Wednesday. I don't have swelling anywhere else just the hands and feet so I think it's nothing to worry about. Will still make enquiries tomorrow. Better to be safe than sorry :)

    Preeclampsia or normal swelling?

Basically as the title says. How do you know the difference between preeclampsia swelling and normal pregnancy swelling? My feet and legs are swollen and are tingly and feel bruised and my hands and fingers are the same. Really struggling to stand because it's uncomfortable. I had my bp and...

    Help!

@Ellie's mum this happened to me when I joined yesterday. I joined via tapatalk app and it wouldn't let me reply to my own post. What I did was went onto the DCUK website and joined the forum on there using the same details and user name I used on the app and then it worked. Hope this helps :)...

Polyhydramnios freaking out and crying :(

I try and test my bg every hour but sometimes forget so I'll set more alarms on my phone and will test when I get up in the night for the loo as well. @courtenayjane how has your pregnancy been? Claire x

Polyhydramnios freaking out and crying :(

Thank you for your replies, I'm feeling much better today :) You're right about complications being caused because of other things as well and that it's less likely to be something more sinister. I hadn't thought about it that way. Just out of interest @azure how early did you go into labour...

Polyhydramnios freaking out and crying :(

Hi all, New to the group and pleased to be here. I'm a type 1 diabetic (have been since 1996) and am currently 32 weeks pregnant with my first child. Today I had a growth scan and was diagnosed with Polyhydramnios. I was wondering if anybody could help reassure me by telling me about their...
