    How does a hba1c work?

I googled it for a simplified explanation and this is what came up: An A1C test can show your average glucose level for the past three months because: Glucose sticks to hemoglobin for as long as the red blood cells are alive. Red blood cells live about three months. Hope this helps

    Farxiga

Hi @NanaCynth I take farxiga (dapagliflozin) for diabetes and haven’t experienced worsening depression after taking it although I do suffer with anxiety which is connected to my inattentive adhd, but it hasn’t got worse with taking farxiga. Dont know what to do

When I first started dapagliflozin I thought it meant I could forget keeping my carb intake low and eat what I wanted but U-oh I got thrush just days after starting the medication. As @Antje77 says it gets rid of the excess glucose in your system by peeing it out so taking this type of...

How safe is intermittent fasting beyond 12 hours?

Low carb and low fat isn’t a good idea. How low carb are you going? The idea is you have to replace the carbs with healthy fat to keep you from feeling hungry and so you don’t go into a low calorie mode as this will mess your hormones and metabolism up, (saturated fat doesn’t raise your BG and...
