    Welcome Mary - the experience we have on this site from the various diabetics and caregivers of diabetics is huge so do take advantage!! So glad you feel like one of the family :) You so rightly said that YOUR body is unique and you need to find out what works for you best - good luck :) J/xxx

    Is this normal?

    Most vending machines now have an option of bottled water, which can be seen as expensive and tasteless but it is probably the best thing for you ... it slakes the thirst better than diet coke which not only acts as a diuretic (sp?) but the caffeine is "said" to cause swings in blood sugars...
