    Spiking on Fruits !!!

I can't remember exactly where I got the original data from Pipp, but it was in an illustration showing carbs in fruit that I then put into an Excel spreadsheet to make the graph. I think I also used data from the Compostion Of Foods Integrated Dataset (Google it) which is about as good as...

Looking for a supermarket dessert that is the dessert equivalent of the Lidl High Protein

A no sugar jelly mix. Just make your own jelly desert with added low carb berries such as raspberries and/or strawberries and top with double cream. Or, if you have the time and inclination make your own low carb, no sugar, ice cream. It's not difficult and takes a little time, but it's nice to...

    Holidays and heat

We take two, three week holidays in Greece every year and I've not found the heat to be a problem. I know what foods to avoid and like @Sue_Cyprus_ I avoid chips and also rice and pasta etc, but find there are plently of tasty options that won't elevate my BG. I don't test very often as I don't...

    Blood sugar reading

In common with most as @helensaramay has said I experience it too. I have found that if I don't have any supper and have my last food about 8 hours before bed my early morning reading tends to be reduced.

    Cholesterol levels rising despite diet

Gosh @KK123 , your LDL is certainly very high. I'm afraid I can't suggest anything specific, but if you haven't already come across it there's some advice on the the Heart UK site. https://heartuk.org.uk/cholesterol-and-diet/six-super-foods-for-lower-cholesterol

    Blood Sugar levels varying widely

Ok, and this is my final comment. Without your pre and post meal BG readings it's impossible to to suggest anything of any use to you. The 'before' readings are just a baseline, but the 'after' readings are the important ones they are the ones that tell you how your body has reacted to what...

    Blood Sugar levels varying widely

Do you test before and 2 hours after every meal? You might perhaps be eating more carby foods for your evening meal if the BS levels for earlier meals are within normal limits. Just a suggestion. That's all.

    Blood Sugar levels varying widely

My guess, and without further information about you, it is just a guess is that what you are eating is causing the high readings. Your blood glucose levels are directly related to apects of your food intake. There's no doubt about this at all. So if you could give some indication as to what you...

    Carbs versus BG Reading

Hi @ixi1429 and welcome. Your morning (fasting) BG levels look pretty good actually but you will find that establishing a correlation between your morning level and total carb intake difficult or possibly impossible. I think you would learn more about how your food intake influences your BG by...
