So remember when I said we have yellow outside and yellow inside, yellow outside and green inside, green outside and yellow inside, green outside and green inside, all lemons? Apparently it turns out we also have orange outside and yellow inside, also a lemon.....it looks like an orange and you...

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

@JustLucky My Libre usually reads under what I am actually at. So that would make sense.

Well I had 6 days of 100% TIR! For some reason the BG fairies were nice to me snorkeling! I had the slight FOTF increase that morning, took some insulin and got on my exercise bike. Then I prebolused and then ate. I dropped a little more than I wanted to to go snorkeling, probably because of...

5 days at 100% TIR, but lol .............we are probably snorkeling today. Perfect world, I'll eat something small later this morning and have no out of control FOTF increase, I'll snorkel and because I timed eating perfectly my liver will not try to help fuel my swimming and I go...

100% Time in range for 4 days in a row, No major DP and no major FOTF. How much easier it is when my BG levels decide to behave themselves. And now that I said something ........................:banghead::banghead::banghead::)

Libre 2 issues and response from Abbott for info!

I am in the US. The first two I got last year wouldn't start after the 60 minute warm up and then I had some that worked fine. I was also using 14 day sensors in between and I had no problem with the 14 day Libre sensors. Then I had 5 failures of the Libre2 in a row. They were going to just...

Wow, the gas shortage sounds bad there. I remember two shortages in the 1970's. They introduced odd and even license plates days. On even numbered days, you could get gas if your plate ended in an even number, odd on odd days. And you still had to wait in line hours sometimes at peak times...

Vegetarians: What have you eaten today?

Regular beans don't have a lot of sugar, but they do have some carbs, unfortunately a lot of the regular canned beans like to add sugar. I get the organic canned beans and they don't add sugar. Baked beans like to add a lot of sugar, maple sugar etc and an awful lot like @cdpm has said like to...

@Antje77 I'm glad you get to keep your endo. If you have one that's a jerk or you don't get along with, it can make our life so much harder. My first endo was a jerk, I actually refused to go back to him after 2 visits and just saw an internist for years. But the next one was a gem and so is...

I do a lot of sugar surfing and a lot of eyeballing...........I like to throw stuff together and never measure. So how much pasta did I put in the veggies? And then there's the taro bun or togo vegan food we get that is total guessing. If I don't drop enough in 60-90 minutes that I think I...

@Antje77 Wow what a fluctuation level! It's almost like you get enough insulin in your system for a few days and then it kicks in lowering your needs for a few days. Because the only pattern I see is a boost and then the bigger drops. It's kind of what happens in a day where you get a stubborn...

@Antje77 I was cracking up too, sorry lol! It was going to happen just because! @becca59 I had a terrible time with the Libre2 starting up. The first 2 that I got wouldn't start, then a couple did, then I switched back to the 14 day. I finally tried the Libre2 again and a couple worked and...

@Antje77 They will replace it, but it's a pain to replace it right before bedtime and then you can't trust it's accuracy for the night or the next morning. Then you have to do a finger stick test to tell what you are actually at because you don't have a clue how far off it will be.

My Bg levels behaved themselves so nicely!!! I had mild DP, but I ate a piece of raisin toast in preparation (fuel) for snorkeling and controlled it easily. Right before snorkeling I was at 7 and had about 10 carbs and never went above 8.4. And then I slowly dropped over the next 2 hours to 5.8...

The problem with changing a pod that decided not to work at night, it still haunts you 3 days later as it wants to get changed at 3 in the morning again. It has an 8 hour grace period, but it still insisted on beeping and being acknowledged before I could shut it up and go back to sleep. Now if...

@SueJB I have always used plain alcohol with cotton pads. You can clean a bigger area easier with more alcohol. @MeiChanski I always take a Qtip with more Skin Tac to go under the edges of my Dexcom once it starts peeling up. I know the Libre doesn't have much of an edge but you might try it...

@MeiChanski It's good to hear from you! I wish you the best at Uni! If you ever need it again, Skin Tac works really well to help keep a CGM on.
