    Diabetic chocolate

A friend bought me some diabetic chocolate for my birthday, Thornton box of various bits and pieces. And yeah, I know it doesn't make a difference but bless them for trying. Anywho, had a few nibbles because I've been goodish lately and thought why not. Well all was good. Tasted alright...

Forxiga - anyone else on it?

Re: Forxiga - anyone else on it? I'm in northern Ireland. As I said, first in the unit. But not in the country. Postcode lottery again. :( Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

Forxiga - anyone else on it?

Re: Forxiga - anyone else on it? No one? Ok, well I started today so I'll keep whoever wants to know updated. So far, about 12 hours, can't say I've noticed anything different. But it's obviously a bit soon. I'll see what my readings are like tomorrow. I won't change anything else for a while...

    Newcastle Diet

Don't be downhearted, it takes about a week for bloods to correct themselves. If you can avoid checking I would. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Postcode lottery?

I haven't been on here long but I have noticed a lot of things I've been lucky not to experience. Namely access to medication, meters and strips and education. I've had the lot without fighting for them. I'm not yet on insulin but my diabetes unit are doing everything possible to help me. How...

    Newcastle Diet

I did this a year ago and it worked brilliantly. Went back to normal eating and 6 months later I was back where I started, although kept most of the weight off. I'd say if you eat generally healthily after you're done then you could well avoid diabetes altogether. **** you Chinese takeaway...

    feeling cold

Sounds like hell, I've lived on soups and it's not fun. Maybe some different medication would help. Sorry I can't be of more help. I'd avoid the exercise until it heats up a bit. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    feeling cold

Have you tried not exercising for a week to see if it's the cause or just a timing issue? You can always go low calorie to counteract the lack of giggling. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    What's the highest you've been?

Off medication I'm regularly over 33. My meter doesn't tell me exactly what after that. Although to be honest I feel better up there than I do when I'm in the safe zone. Ignorance really was bliss. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    feeling cold

I've noticed I'm generally colder now I'm on medication. Blood pressures fine, no extremity problems, just something I've had to accept. It's a pain but it won't kill me. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

Forxiga - anyone else on it?

I've just been prescribed Forxiga. First in the unit. Anyone else on it? Is there anything you've noticed I should look out for. I'm generally very tolerant of medication but it's perfectly normal to be a bit worried. Stupid question number three, will the rest of my life smell of sugar puffs...
