    Libre targets.

So I wonder over what time period the values are being looked at in order to establish the trend arrow?

Anyone clued up on how the libre trend arrow is calculated. I get a flat arrow and an hour later i'm up 3 or 4 mmol/L. Whats the algorithm used to decide on the arrow given?

    Anyone getting Libre 2 yet?

I was recently put on libre (1) trail last month. At my last phone consultation, I had a moan about why I’m not on libre 2 as a new starter, plus stating how the Bluetooth notifications and improved accuracy would be so much better for me. 2 days later I get a phone call to say they are sending...

    Anyone getting Libre 2 yet?

I have just started libre trial (one) Worcestershire. What are the improvements on libre 2?

    Libre targets.

Blimey, very interesting information! It becomes a very complicated and grey area when you have 24/7 bg data on an electronic database accessed by your consultant. God help us if dvla would have access to it. Again, nearly 3 weeks in, I love my libre, so much better control for me.

    Libre targets.

Agree, 10grams to bump it up, otherwise it becomes a frustrating proces of bouncing high low back and forth. Things always depend on what my activities will be of the coming hours.

    Libre targets.

Well tbh I haven't done many comparison finger test. It's been so nice to give my fingers a rest after years of stabbing them! I understand the 15 min delay and potential descrepances. I'm comfortable at 3.7 for example and if the trend is not downward I tend not to act. Obviously depends on...

Hi, 2.5 weeks into my new life as a T1d libre user. Wow, what a game changer! 45 years T1d BTW. Estimated A1c is 6.0; historically I was always mid to high 6’s. It has enabled me to make a big improvement to BG levels. I just wish I could have had it 4 years ago or whenever it came out. I’ve...

    Double tresiba!

Well yes played nine holes. One oats porridge bar plus one bottle of lucozade got me round. Hard exercise I feel would really plummet me on current dosage. Weighing up now wether to cycle in tomorrow. 12 miles. Not sure yet see how the night goes. A costly error, cause I was rushing and...

    Double tresiba!

4 hours in on double basal. So I think that's full effect on tresiba. Hanging in there with careful monitoring. What a pain. Think I'll cancel golf this afternoon. Yeah I've also done double bolus, that's awkward, but at least it's all over in 4 hours.

    Double tresiba!

God **** it. Always take my 13units tresiba first thing in morning which I did as usual. Just had a mad moment at work when my fiasp pen run out, quickly replaced vial with tresiba by mistake and took 12 units. Only noticed when I see my sugar running raging high. So quickly sorted pens out...

    Tresiba peaks

For me tresiba is pretty good. I take it first thing in morning. But I do get 3am to morning highs quite a lot. I tweak the dose occasionally usually 0.5ml increments, it has to be perfect. I then ensure bedtime bs is really good to be in with a chance of keeping it reasonably good at wake up...

    Aaahhhh double basal

Don't take any bolus. Keep plenty of carbs ready and test every hour or so, until you see how things are panning out. Different colour pens is a must. Changing to morning basal helped me avoid stupid bedtime mistakes, plus it gave me better results. Hope things are OK for the next day or so!

    Insulin timing

Fiasp reacts quicker than novorapid. I changed over 6 months ago. For me a big improvement in spikes.

Yay! been put on waiting list for libre

Had my 12 monthly visit to DSN today, current Hba1c 49 and six months ago was 48, so reasonable anyway. Type 1 now for 45 years! Doing 10 tests a day atm. Anyway, after a letter had been put in circulation from my ophthalmologist about the potential benefits of libre (this was after I moaned I...

    Dexcom G6 - Amazingly Accurate

Sounds brilliant. I would love to try the g6, a game changer I would think! However, only on subscription here in the UK I believe. Crazy really! I use 7 bottles of contour next strips per month at a cost to the NHS of 7x£20=£140. Someone please correct me if this is not quite right. Surely i...

    Statins and type 1

Rosuvastatin is known under the name Crestor. See this link https://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/news/20060313/statins-may-reverse-plaque-buildup#1

    Statins and type 1

Hi, I have been doing some more research into statins. It appears that there are four different types of statins. Simvastatin is prescribed in the UK because it is extremely cheap and it has proved to be effective. In countries like Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland Rosuvastatin is...

    Statins and type 1

Reading this now. I've been on them for 10years. My levels have always been very good, I eat healthy and keep fit, with good hba1c. I suffer some sleeplessness and ibs occasionally. Which tbf is on the smallprint for most medicines. Wondering though what the guidelines maybe for coming of them...
