    I don’t know the bgl as my doctor told me not to buy a tester as I didn’t need one because I wasn’t on insulin & was a type 2 diabetic

    Possibly, but it doesn’t affect the taste of what I’m eating if anything the sensation goes/reduces when I do, but it’s there in the background when I’m not eating or drinking & fluctuates in intensity

    I’ve had a Burnt sugar taste in my mouth and smell in my nose for a week or so, could it be a symptom of diabetes & should i be worried?

    Thank you for all your replies, I have had the eye migraines before diagnosis but they seem to be getting more regular recently I will make an appointment with my GP but am relieved to hear that the two aren’t connected

    I was diagnosed as Type 2 in December last year and have just been told I have Background retinopathy I’ve also been suffering with ocular migraines recently too, should I be worried or are the two not related

    Newly diagnosed with type 2 & having first sore throat since diagnosis

    Obviously throat sweets/lozenges are a no go now so looking for recommendations as to what to try instead please

    Hi I was diagnosed on 15 December last year which came a bit out of the blue, I've been given 2 x 2 lots of Metformi daily & saw the diabetic nurse on 5 January. I feel more than a little unsupported at the minute as I was given no literature & had to ask the nurse to write me down the web...
