Welcome to the forum and best of luck with your new career! I'm really no expert but have you tried low carbing? Replacing white bread and white rice with wholemeal and brown? Give up sugars as much as you can, even sweeteners. Choose whole fruit rather than juice.

Gosh I was sooooo ANGRY when I was diagnosed, Steve. Still am. I had just sorted out a long term issue via an operation and was getting my life back and then BAM! It seemed like somebody has said "Right, you've sorted out that so have a bit of this now!" I have had medical issues of a sort...

My DN says sweats are nothing to do with diabetes. I don't believe that. She thinks she's right as she has done a 'proper' course. I think I'm right because I am living with diabetes.
