Diagnosed T2 few weeks back tried metafornin which didn't agree with me at all tried building up slowly still no good so now doctors given me trulicity injection which I'm doing myself once a week it comes in some little machine that does it all for you which I actually prefer just wondered peoples experiences with it I'm on small dose at moment to be reviewed in 4 weeks some of the side effects look a bit scary .
What's your experience

Watching with interest as I’ve been advised to use this. Seeing nurse in 3weeks time.

Yes I was given it because I had bad reactions to pills the warnings about it are a bit scary but the so is diabetes so you have to weigh up the risks but it makes life a lot easier aswell I'll keep updating only just started first week was fine sick yesterday fine again today they say it can make you feel roughy first couple weeks

Hello Michael, I've been on Trulicity for 8 or 9 months and it's been good for me. Like you I couldn't tolerate Metformin. I was running at about 15 trying to control BS with diet and exercise after I finally gave up on the Metformin and now I'm getting readings of 6s and 7s. I can't say I don't have ANY side effects. Every now and again I feel very sick, never actually been sick - the feeling only lasts for 10 to 15 minutes and then I'm fine. Seems like a good trade-off for lower figures. Hope it works out for you, good luck!

Like you say the possible side effects are quite scary as are the complications of uncontrolled BG.

I'm fortunate to be controlling my T2D by just my 'way of eating'. Thus I suggest all those who can do the same as me: Low Carb High(er) Fat and ditch all those scary medicines.

I have started on LCHF diet and the nurse may have to drag me kicking and screaming to Trulicity. The threat of going on this with its side effects may have been the kick up the arris I needed.
