    Beaten the Virus

Oh @JonBoy1199, you're describing how i felt for nearly four weeks long! I thought it was the flu because i didn't experience breathing difficulties. I did have a tight chest but believed that's a sign of stress. The headache between the eyes and at the back of the head was horrible. I also had...

TYPE 1 Immune System - stronger or weaker?

That's a very interesting thread, i was wondering for a long time if mine is stronger than most peoples around me. I have worked with clients with not only all kinds of bugs but Hepatitis C, TB, and other nasties. Even when each and every colleague had a cold, it passed me.

    Freestyle libre problem with supplier?

There seems to be a problem again with the delivery to my pharmacy. I'm already waiting for two weeks, my pharmacist doesn't know how long it will take. Am i the only one?

    NHS 111 Covid-9

Hi Nioami, Sorry you are so unwell! Do you have a diabetic nurse and/or consultant you can contact? Surely as T1 you are under hospital care? I'm afraid 111 wouldn't be such a great help anyway. My own GP told me they are useless. Two weeks ago i had exactly the same symptoms like you but only...

My pharmacy called me yesterday to tell me the sensors are in, i can collect them. I was already getting nervous because i had ripped off my last one when the postie knocked after i had a shower and i was rushing to get dressed.:shy:

    Skin Tags...

My obese mother was covered in skin tags, even on face and neck. She didn't have diabetes. I started getting several on the neck a few years ago and got rid of them with applying a tea tree solution three times a day for two weeks.

    3rd holiday on insulin

This week i came back from an amazing 5 days trip to Nice. My glucose levels were very good because i walked and walked, cycled and even joined a senior yoga group on Castle Hill. :) I remember being so afraid before my first holiday on basal/bolus regime. For over a year i hadn't been out of...

I was just yesterday googling to see if the Libre 2 is now available in the UK. Yesterday i had two hypos and became only aware of it when i was below 3.

    Holiday Blood sugars

Hi @NorfolkNic, I had exactly the same experience like you in July when i went to the Canaries, the first time out of London since my honeymoon ended last year March. It took me over a week to recover and it left me really drained and depressed. On Saturday i'm going to Austria on a family visit...

OMG, that's unbelievable. I feel for you, as a T1 you shouldn't have this problem at all. I would make so much noise and yes, contact @parthaskar!

So.... The change? Bit early or what? (Hormonal Migraines)

Oh @JoKalsbeek, i don't envy you if it's the perimenopause. I found that period far worse than the actual menopause. I believe i stated having perimenopause symptoms from 42 years on. I started feeling low, very heavy periods, night sweats and terrible insomniac. For 10 years i got up every...
