This week i came back from an amazing 5 days trip to Nice. My glucose levels were very good because i walked and walked, cycled and even joined a senior yoga group on Castle Hill. :)

I remember being so afraid before my first holiday on basal/bolus regime. For over a year i hadn't been out of London because of fear of hypos. The first trip was very bad because i had a horrible cold, lost my voice and everything seemed unmanageable. In September i went to my country of origin Austria which went really well. In Nice and Austria i was even often naughty, ate schnitzel, applestrudel and in Nice socca, cakes and baguettes. Afterwards i always cycled or walked as fast as i could, used even less insulin and never even had a spike!

I am so happy i got so encouraging feedback from some forum members a few month back Thank you!

Hello @enzina Good to hear that you had an amazing break :) As we all know there is no holiday from diabetes but getting away is so important, even better when your BG levels play nicely !
