exercise and toning for morbid obesity

don't worry.. just take some baby steps and you'll soon increase your fitness. I bought a second hand rebounder (mini trampoline) off Ebay about 2 years ago. I just did 5 mins of gentle bouncing at a time, increasing it by a couple of minutes every few days until I was doing 20 mins twice a day...

anyone with over 100lbs to lose?

oh yes!! I started losing weight 4 years ago at which point I was 138kg with a BMI of 53. I am now 109kgs with a BMI of 42. I need to loose at least the same again!

    Hi

You need to start low carbing! 2 slices of white toast would do that to me as well (at least!) and check the ingredients/label for the peanut butter to make sure it's unsweetened.

How much exercise do you do?

 I do between 40 - 60 minutes a day on the X-trainer min 2.5 miles, 250 calories. No mean feat for a fat lass of 110kg

    annoyed and confused by BGs

probably twice as much fruit as that tbh, but I also had a strong latte while out this morning, so that may have contributed. Lunch was bacon (1) egg (1) and a big mushroom, followed by 30 mins on the xtrainer. Now back down to 13.9 from 18.8 pre-lunch :) High for most of you I know, but not bad...

could you go to your local pharmacy and ask for a glucose check - I'm sure I've seen them advertised?

    metformin

the very first thing I did was to buy a meter and a load of strips! If they advise you to test, they have to prescribe = cost!! Sad but true!

    Drinking So Much Water :(

Hi Burcidi  Someone with MUCH more knowledge than me will be along in a moment to gie you more information, but when you say your glucose levels are fine, what are we actually talking about? Do you self test?

    Will it never end ????

I wonder if the Newcastle diet would reverse this problem as well? Just a topic for discussion, not a recommendation!

I know you're low-carbing, but there might be a clue in what you actually eat for breakfast? I had full fat greek yoghurt and blueberries this morning for a change and mine went up 3 points!
