    Complications age 25

I've had T1 for around 46 years and couldn't have cared less about my control for decades. I reached 23st ate and drank what I liked when I liked ending up having to have Roux en Y bariatric surgery to lose 10 st. Control far more difficult since losing weight as more sensitive to insulin. My...

Libre with Sony watch. Can sensor be worn close to watch on wrist?

It already does that but I was trying to convert it to a CGM so I can get readings without having to scan it. Don't want to spend £££ on a bluetooth transmitter as the Sony SW3 watch I have uses early firmware to enable NFC and seems pretty basic so not sure which bluetooth transmitters will...

Freestyle libre with medical exemption card

You could try nominating Superdrug as your repeat prescription collection pharmacy. Then they can see you get your insulin on prescription from them so can't argue.

Hot Weather And Storing Insulin While On Holiday

If there's no fridge in my room hotels usually allow me to store it in a fridge in the kitchen. If there is a fridge in your room be careful.I've had insulin freeze in the top of the "cheap" room fridge doors even though not in the freezer section. During the day I keep insulin pens in a small...

    Freestyle Libre - Error Codes

Bit late for replying but ask for a new (free) sensor if they're replacing your meter as the sensor linked to the faulty meter wont be able to be read by the new meter as it's already linked to the faulty meter

Best Way To Keep Libre Sensors On?

I shave the application area ,shower and then use the excellent cleaning swabs that come with the sensor then allow to dry. Never had one come off and have always have to be "prised" off in the shower under warm running water to remove. Perhaps one reason if users find they're coming off could...
