I'm learning to drive currently. I had a medical report form filled out by my specialist who then posted it to the tax place. They then made a decision whether I was able to hold a license.

Your very lucky that your wife is a doctor. It's scary stuff but unfortunately the next person might now get the help they so desperately need.

    Starting off with a pump

My control has been poor for the last few years but past 6 months it has improved drastically. All my blood sugars are between 4-10 95% of the time. I have seen the pump and I think it would help me keep it this way and not go back into my old ways and I think it would be more suitable for my...

I believe so! I remember a few years ago me and my diabetes nurse were talking through DAFNE. Might be worth talking to her and my team again and seeing about it. Thank you though :)

Hi all - I have been reading online about insulin pumps and they sound like a really good idea to consider. Does anyone know how I can start or get information about a pump or be able to qualify for one? Much appreciated Aimee

Hi I sometimes get hard lumps in my stomach after eating. Mine would be a little lower than yours but always wondered the same thing? I was always told it was to do with my insulin but I've never been convinced?? They only come and go now as I start injecting in other places. Hopefully...

Am I Classed as disabled now I have diabetes ?

No your not classed as disabled! As being a very sporty and active human being one person I look up to is Sir Steve Redgrave and he is a diabetic. Diabetes shouldn't stop you from doing anything you love. You could only be classed as disabled if you have other health problems due to your diabetes
