    One of the Brexit bonuses, I love fish and most sea food so I am glad I live in the EU and can get all the sea food I want as feel it is important for diabetics to eat a healthy diet, I hope all the diabetics in the UK can find lots of other heathy foods to eat

    Pancreas has “shrunk” !

    I had an Mri many years ago and it showed a shrunken pancreas, I just assumed it was because I had been diabetic for forty plus years type 1 so I don't produce any insulin, I have had many more Mir,s but they have never mentioned my pancreas again

    Pfizer vaccine

    My blood sugers went high after the first phizer jab, then after the second jab 4 weeks later they went back to normal, I would highly recommend having both jabs phizer or astra zenica, I am looking forward to my booster jab in October

    Chemotherapy sending bloods up

    I had the same problem 7 years ago with chemotherapy and steroids, although I have a pump but I had to increase my Basel by 500% and my bolus by 200%, I found it would last for 5 days after each chemo, Hope your treatment does not make you feel to unwell, That word cancer makes us all feel scared

    Out of all the surgeries I have had the cataract surgery last tuesday is by far the best no pain in and out in a few hours and my vision in that eye after just 2 days was perfect I am looking forward to the other eye being done next Tuesday

    That's good news, I have just had cataract surgery so I have drops 4 times a day and have to dilate my eyes every night, having the other eye done on Tuesday so will be having drops for the next 5 weeks but the good news hopefully will be no need for glasses ever again

    It takes up to 12 hours for my eyes to recover from the drop sometimes, I think it depends on how much or many times they put the drops in, I hope your eyes recover soon

    Never had a problem raising a family I have two healthy children four grandchildren never felt my diabetes affected my family life, I suppose I just got on with life

    COVID vaccine and extremely high blood sugars

    I think I'm back to normal now, it has taken a while, just got remember not to take so much insulin now, going in to hospital for cataract surgery tomorrow so I hope my blood sugers stay level
