    Frustrated with diagnosis

They gave me insulin to begin with to control my blood sugar levels and I am now just on gliclazide to help me produce insulin. It apparently can become insulin dependant but that could be a few years down the line or 10 years down the line. They also told me my mum is not type 2 and will...

I have my Mody diagnosis at last!

After a few months of waiting I finally have my mody results back. I apparently have a rare mutation that affects about 1 in 500,000. I would love to know if anybody else has this. It is a mutation in the abcc8 and kcnj11 which means very little to me but is referred to apparently as TNDM...

    Frustrated with diagnosis

Thankyou. It really helps hearing you say this because I was starting to think I was over reacting and was prepared to wait for my next appointment but I'm going to push for my appointment. I've been prepared for it for a few weeks so was really deflated when it was cancelled again. I feel like...

It's so hard especially when you have to adapt so much in the first place just for other factors to mess everything up. Definitely a juggling game [emoji852]️

hi, I'm just interested to find out if anyone else finds there blood sugars fluctuate when dealing with stressful 'life changes' or situations. I'm not sleeping great due to different reasons and my blood sugars are up and down. I just wondered if this could be to blame thanks

    Eating out

I am on gliclazide twice a day. I was on insulin for the first week as my blood sugar was so high but they stopped it. In the beginning I was quite strict with myself but have slipped slightly resulting in slightly higher readings in the evening I struggle with self control lol

    Eating out

Since finding out I have diabetes I have avoided social events that include eating out. My friends all want me to go out for an Indian Friday night. Am I making a big deal out of this? I already know that eating this sort of food spikes my blood sugar. I am a total foodie and wouldn't have...
