    Forxiga - dapagliflozin

I have been on Forxiga for a few months now. See Ongoing reports on my experience As with @jpscloud I am not seeing perhaps the benefits I should because of all the warnings from the surgery about it not being compatible with a low carb/keto diet. This pushed me firmly off the wagon and I am...

Abbott Track and Trace and Avast anti-virus blocking JavaScript.

I've (in the last couple of days) had the track and trace JavaScript from the freestyle.abbott web site blocked by Avast with the message URL:Blacklist. I understand that this means that Avast have blacklisted the script. The rest of the site seems to work. I have reported this to Avast and to...

    Libre 2 failed

If you go to Help -> Event Log on your phone App that will have a record of any errors reported by your phone. This will give you evidence for Abbott if they as for it. There is an option to "Send Troubleshooting Data" although I haven't used it so far. There are probably (hundreds of?)...

    Sunday carvery advice?

Loads of meat. Any vegetables which are from above ground e.g. cabbage. Sadly, avoid roasted potatoes, parsnips, and any other root vegetables. However, fill up on the delicious meat and enjoy!

    SGLT2i - a traveller takes the first steps on a long journey - forxiga/dapagliflozin

Strange things are happening. At the moment I seem to have a time delay (sometimes hours) before any food intake is seen on my Libre 2. This isn't helped by the current sensor reading at least 2 full units low both high and low readings. Changes are also dramatic - going from high glucose alarm...

Abbott Frestyle Freedom Lite - uploading readings - Libreview

I understand that the web site is out of date and LibreView no longer supports older devices. I am expecting a newer meter from Abbott (and hopefully a lead as well) so I will update this thread when this happens.

    Type 2 C Peptide level.

There should be a calculation on the Internet somewhere to feed the figures into. e.g. Fasting IR One example - works with fasted numbers. C-Peptide Do you know what units your c-peptide reading is in? It may need conversion to feed into the on line calculators.

Abbott Frestyle Freedom Lite - uploading readings - Libreview

I am trying to upload data from my Freestyle Freedom Lite meter using the Abbott USB data cable to LibreView. This has worked in the past, but not recently. I have just reported this to Abbott Support and received the following response. " Thank you for contacting Abbott’s UK diabetes care...

    SGLT2i - a traveller takes the first steps on a long journey - forxiga/dapagliflozin

Another update: The "eat more carbs because hypos" seems to be not a good idea in my case. My BG just seems to run constantly high if I eat any significant carbohydrates. I am now back on the low carbohydrate wagon, and my BG seems to be mainly in the green on the Libre 2. This is all very...

Squash with no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners

I don't really mind water, but after a while it gets boring. I drink a spritzer of a little white wine and a lot of sparling water. Again, gets boring after a while. Thanks to all for the ideas - I think a bit of bottle reading is coming up!

Squash with no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners

I did try and search but too many hits. As I am no longer (for the moment) super low carb and I am supposed to increase the amount I drink I thought I would try diluted squash. Can anyone recommend a fruit squash which hasn't been mucked about with? Orange would be my first choice. [Well...

    SGLT2i - a traveller takes the first steps on a long journey - forxiga/dapagliflozin

Further note: BG steady(ish) around 8.5. Had a small whisky and BG started to drop. Alcohol takes precedence over glucose in the liver. This suggests that my liver has been chucking out glucose to keep my BG over 8. Problems with the control mechanism, in that insulin production has been...

    SGLT2i - a traveller takes the first steps on a long journey - forxiga/dapagliflozin

Today I have had coffee, cream, butter for breakfast. 2 egg cheese omelette with tiny smear of tomato sauce for lunch/mid afternoon meal. My BG has bottomed out at around 8.6 on the Libre 2. I will check this in a bit with a finger prick. I have no idea why I haven't gone down to "normal" BG...

    SGLT2i - a traveller takes the first steps on a long journey - forxiga/dapagliflozin

I've finished my first two week pack and I don't know what is going on. I don't really feel an increase in thirst but my thirst response isn't good. I only know if I am thirsty if I start to drink and then carry on glugging for a while. Mainly I will start a pint (sometimes beer) and stall half...

    SGLT2i - a traveller takes the first steps on a long journey - forxiga/dapagliflozin

@Max68 Forxiga is Dapagliflozin so perhaps they are suggesting an alternative "flozin"? One from the same family of drugs which may not have quite the same side effects.

Type 2 Traveling abroad whilst diabetic…

I've flown long haul with a Libre 2 sensor which links to my mobile phone on several occasions. No issues going through scanners at various airports. I end up with a load of sensors in my suitcase as well because I am usually away 6 weeks+

    No added sugar vinto squash

What you need to know is how many grams of carbohydrate there are in a diluted glass of squash. Artificial sweeteners can confuse your body so aren't always a good thing. There are a lot of extra ingredients, aren't there! As @Rachox says, the best answer is to test, test, test.

Lidl vitamins - lack of information?

Having just seen an article in the latest Which? magazine about vitamin supplements, I went to the Lidl pack of Vitamin B Complex to check what the dosage was. I couldn't access the extra details by peeling off the label (why hide it?) but there was a picture on line and the detailed list of...

    SGLT2i - a traveller takes the first steps on a long journey - forxiga/dapagliflozin

Strange things going on. I seem to be having a gout flare up despite the blood test just prior to starting my new medication showing that my urate levels were within range. I wondered if the SGLT2i carried an extra gout risk but looking on line it seems to be a potential treatment for gout, and...
