    35 weeks .

Hi. I had the same thing. Adjust your dosing but keep a really close eye on things. If you continue needing to reduce your amounts due to hypos let your team know as this can be a sign of falling pregnancy hormone (normal but a sign they might need to keep a closer eye on you and bump). Hope you...

    Baby measuring a little bigger!!

I think you need to focus on the fact that whilst he's at the upper end of normal he's still normal. ;) sounds like you're doing well and some babies will be at the end of normal even without the diabetes. Take it easy on yourself, you're doing everything right. Good luck! Xxx

    Length of Hospital Stay?

Hi ladies. You must be getting so excited! I went in at 38 weeks to be induced, and she arrived about 26hrs later. We then stayed in for one night afterwards. This is my hospitals policy for diabetics. It allows them to keep an eye on mums sugars. It also gives you time to get settled with...

Can we really trust the NHS?

The NHS is not designed to supply every type of service. We are incredibly lucky to get all the free care we do in the UK. Stem cell storage is more common in Europe and the USA where ppl have to pay. Whilst it would be wonderful for the NHS to supply everything we want it to this us simply not...

    Early Pregnancy Highs and Frustration

Hi girls. You both sound like you're doing really well in difficult situations. Are you remembering to tear for ketones with these highs? Have you had input from your diabetes team yet if having such big swings? As you said sleepyheadzzz it is great for having somewhere to vent...I found this...

    Hospital - hypos

Hi, we 're doing well thanks cloe, I can't believe she was 6 weeks on Friday! We had first smiles over the weekend which was really special. Am still having problems with poor milk supply (probs not related to the diabetes) so the GP started me on some tablets to try to treat this yesterday so...

    Hospital - hypos

Hi. I took haribo and lucosade and little cartons of Apple juice. When I was in full blown labour I was unable to stomach much though because the gas and air made me feel so sick so I ended up on a sliding scale (had been wanting to avoid that). Think you want easy to consume things or even...

    Not the perfect diabetic

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Is this your first pregnancy? It sounds like you're trying hard to get your sugars under control which is great. I use the enlite sensors and found them much easier than other cgms for the reasons you mentioned about site irritation etc. so I hope you manage...

    Dealing with the down days

Hi. I felt exactly like you just over a year ago...all of my friends (or so it felt anyway) kept phoning to tell me they were pregnant but we couldn't try yet as I hadn't been given the go ahead. It was really upsetting and I had a definite green monster on my shoulder! However, I got the go...

BG up and down in very late pregnancy

Hi, I had this towards the end as well. Found myself having to reduce my basals and increase my I:C ratios. Are you sure you're not over correcting the hypos causing the spikes? I found the amount I needed to correct hypos changed as well. Hope you get this sorted...have you spoken to your team...
