Freestyle Libre sensor not being read correctly

This does sound quite familiar to the problems I am having. I have a Samsung A20 which, I think, is quite a new phone. Correct me if I'm wrong! My previous phone was a Nokia 5 but I did not have these problems at that time.

Freestyle Libre sensor not being read correctly

Hi During the last month or so, my Librelink app on my phone has increasingly not been able to take readings from my sensor. I have had used 3 sensors during this time, and have had the same problem in varying degrees with each sensor. Because of this, I have had gaps in the 24-hour graphs on...

    Orange Juice From Concentrate

Yes, I appreciate that the body does not distinguish between natural and added sugar. I've always been led to believe that natural sugar (from the fruit) is ok to have. Is this because of the extra nutrients that the fruit provides i.e. fibre? The orange juice that I have bought is made from...

    Orange Juice From Concentrate

I do count carbs and adjust my bolus accordingly...but carbs loaded with added sugar I stay away from.

    Orange Juice From Concentrate

I bought a carton of Sainsbury's smooth orange juice from concentrate last week having looked at the nutritional content on the back of the carton and noticed that all the sugar in the drink was 'natural sugar from the fruit'. I thought that would be ok as sugar from the fruit is ok for Type 1...

Will you be having treats at Christmas?

Thank you for this Alison. I have just looked on Google for distilled whiskey and apparently sugar is added to the distillation process (unlike other spirits like gin and vodka). I did originally have a feeling that whiskey had added sugar in it. Is this where the drink gets the added sugar...

Will you be having treats at Christmas?

My Christmas treat this year was a small glass of Irish cream (aka Baileys) on 2 days. It got me wondering just how much refined sugar there is in it. I don't really understand how people say it's loaded with refined sugar as the drink is just cream and whisky (and whisky is a distilled...

    Another hello

I do like a fine wine once in a while. No, no particular problems although my BS does have a mind of itself every so often and I cannot explain that mind! Thanks for the book suggestion.

    Natural fruit bars

Thanks for the replies. I find that bars are easy to carry anywhere you go...easier than a banana, for instance. I used to have cereal bars, like Trackers, but am now thinking that raw fruit bars are healthier as they have no added sugar.

    Another hello

After having had Type 1 for 26 years, I thought I should finally join this forum as I am finding that my diabetes is getting ever more difficult to manage as my body matures ( matures sounds better than ages!!), and wanted to share/seek suggestions! I also am taking more care in the foods that...

    Natural fruit bars

Hello Are fruit bars (Nakd, Get Fruity etc) ok to have as snacks for Type 1? They are advertised as having no added sugar (refined) and are merely 100% natural sugar. Because of this, I am assuming that you can have them. I am aware that a bar is fairly high in carbs but you could easily...
