@JRT Absolutely agree with everything you say. In conversation with three colleagues last night (we have a small WhatsApp joke telling group!!) I was informed that a colleague who recently gave birth had her Individual Risk Assessment last week after a wait of two weeks since her request. Why...

The irony being Boris wanted schools open so parents could go back to work. Simple as that. Bet he didn't consider that children picking up the virus at school could mean people not being able to work!! Big discussions on our Whatsapp work feed tonight,. A diabetic colleague of mine, who...

Don't know if you are meant to laugh or cry! Paying for their food?! Shocking, and I've been getting free food from Sainsbury for years,,,, NOT! Asked a friend yesterday if he thought Boris was a buffoon? He replied "no he's a …......". Can't place the word on a public site but I'd never...

Just your last sentence shows what is all wrong with the system. I've relied on the fantastic volunteers at Citizens Advice for a whole scope of areas from when I was ill a few years ago to all of mum's affairs etc and whilst at times they can't do much to help because of the system they have...

I agree Nicole it is an awfully horrible situation. To have to walk away from mum when she puts her arms out for a hug is an awful situation and it destroys us every single time. I'd love nothing more than to give her a hug or hold her hand. On the other hand I work in a school (as you will...

The The whole situation is an absolute tragedy. When we had concerns with mum last year she became ill with a severe stomach bug that needed hospitalisation,. They were ready to send her home at the end of the day even though she wasn't in control of herself physically and the physical...

Indeed you are so right. I saw an article the other day suggesting teachers could sue the government for unsafe working practices or similar and all that was written in the comments by most people was how teachers have had six months off and were greedy just jumping on the compensation band...

Well it gets more concerning and farcical by the minute. My nephew has to have a test today 40 miles away because he is off school (a week and a bit after going back) as he has gone down with a temperature and head ache. He is in an SEN school with vulnerable children. Could only have picked...

COVID the real numbers? Not all doom and gloom.

Anyone hear anything about a possible mutation in the virus leaving it more contagious but less deadly? "If" the figures of infections going up but deaths coming down continue is that a possibility?

    2 Strawberries = 2g of carbs

Funny how it affects everyone differently. My HBA1c was at 58 after eating salads and low carb for three months. Six months of eating home made burgers and chips and half a punnet of strawberries and double cream most nights it came down to 51!! Go figure!

Interesting day today. Was intrigued as to why the Science Teacher I support was doing his lessons via Zoom from home and therefore had other teachers in support as well as myself. Nothing official was said to me but I heard on the grapevine that his daughter, who is at another school, was in...
