Why do my blood sugar keep dropping

Thanks for always replying so promptly! :) Yes I do check them against my meter because my libre does run a bit lower than my actual levels so always check. My libre says I hypo about 6 times a day, in reality it’s more like 2 when I’ve checked against my BG meter.

Why do my blood sugar keep dropping

I was diagnosed type 1 in June and started on 12U in the morning and 12U at night, with 6U of novorapid with each meal. This has gradually decreased. I’ve been low carb eating now for 11 days (against the advice of my DN) I haven’t taken any rapid insulin with food in 10 days and use 3U morning...

    Stable blood sugar without NPH

I was diagnosed 3 months ago as type 1 and no tests were done either, this made my denial of diabetes even worse. Coupled with the fact I’m in my honeymoon and no longer take any insulin with food and 4U in morning 3U in night Of basal and still have hypos. I have a libre and my levels never go...

    Misdiagnosed type 1?

Do you mind me asking how old you are? I’m 26 and had lost a significant amount of weight in the 6 months leading up to the DKA. I’ve pretty much come to accept that I’m type 1 now, but probably deep down there is still that doubt.

    Advice on rapid-acting insulin.

Was wondering if anyone can offer advice. So I take 7units in morning and 8units in evening of levemir. I take 1unit of novorapid for pretty much anything I eat. At lunch this seems to raise my levels from 4.5-5 to around 6-6.5. This is with a small lunch. For my evening meal I take 1 unit and...

    Confused about BG level?

Hello, another question before I see my medical team at the end of next week. Diagnosed Type 1 in June and very likely In my honeymoon period. My levels are always between 4-6 during the day and 5-7 during the evening. My DN has emailed to say these levels are bit lower than what they would...

    Misdiagnosed type 1?

Hello, Thanks for your replies! I’ve seen people writing about C-peptide and antibody tests. I don’t know what either of those are and so I’m unaware if I had any of those tests. I’m sure everyone feels this way at first, just the doctor as my surgery questioned why I had been diagnosed type 1...

    Misdiagnosed type 1?

Hello, I was diagnosed type 1 after going into DKA a month ago. My question is, does anyone get misdiagnosed type 1 and that’s not what they have? I’m taking very little insulin now, which I know is due to the honeymoon period. I know it’s probably wishful thinking, but are there any cases...
