Hi all , I usually find it embarrassing discussing this topic. However wonder if anybody else has had problems - I had loads of side effects on Metformim so have been off it now for two weeks. I have a slight worry my period hasnt happened this month - is it usual?

Tescos have diabetic ice cream in. I asked about it a few weeks ago and its in now :0) They're also putting in sugar free jam :)

Re: Metformin Side Effects Hey, yep was pretty sick and had some major side effects so bad I ended up in A&E one night. I'm seeing my nursie on Monday so hopefully shes got some tablets that work and dont add weight as cant seem to shift any at the moment and certainly dont want to add any.

Re: metformin side effects I've got an appointment to see my nurse Monday - been off Metformin now for two weeks and feel so much better. So hopefully what ever she puts me on Monday instead wont make be feel so crumby.

Re: metformin side effects Well I dont know if I now have a bug - but I feel terrible again very bad stomach ache an aural migrane again with a nice little headache to go with it. Its 1:30am and I cant sleep and I have a performance review at 9am in the morning - great hey.

I feel a failure - had to go on tablets two weeks ago.

Typical cant get an appointment to see the Diabetics nurse till Thursday - oh well - hopefully it wont matter me not having taken the Metformin as stopped it Saturday and starting to feel a bit better already.

Thanks Catherine, headaches really really bad again today and been sick yet again so I think I'm gonna miss the tablets today and see if I feel better then see the doc on Monday.
