Has LCHF/diabetes changed where/how you shop?

It's a shame he alienated his existing clients like that!

Has LCHF/diabetes changed where/how you shop?

Sometimes I get very impatient in the supermarket - it really depends on the day. I do like to go myself and take my time looking at everything (it's not a huge store). We have a great poultry shop not too far away, but it can get pretty pricy although worth it for a special occasion. Also a...

Has LCHF/diabetes changed where/how you shop?

My husband is capable of eating piles of meat in one sitting. I don't know how he does it - that sort of thing is really filling.

Has LCHF/diabetes changed where/how you shop?

I don't think the LIDLs over here do the high protein rolls but they're good for deli meats, cheese, fruit and veg and also things like Brazil nuts and walnuts which are great value compared with the regular supermarkets. A new larger-sized LIDL is opening up by us soon, so I'll be curious to...

Has LCHF/diabetes changed where/how you shop?

I like to look at my local supermarket's website to check nutritional info, whether they sell certain products and also to spot hidden "gems" (for example, the organic section might have just what you're after (quality chocolate, unsalted nuts, etc) but you don't think to look there).

Has LCHF/diabetes changed where/how you shop?

Hi, Has the way you shop for food changed since diagnosis/adoption of the LCHF diet? Do you still go to the supermarkets but stick to the fresh produce sections only? Or have you started using the smaller shops which may have more inspiring selections of veg, fruit, cheese, meat, etc? Markets...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hi all, Last night's cheat meal was great fun but after what felt like a sleepless night spent digesting it all I'm looking forward to getting back to LCHF. Never thought I'd say that... One of the guests bought milk chocolates, which I'm trying to convince husband to take to work with him to...

Thanks! I've been living on borrowed time and so I do need to sort myself out. I've an annual blood test next week so I'll know more about my status then. So far I've had HbA1c's in the mid to late 5's and low 6's. I've been thinking about getting a meter - I seem to remember that there's a...

Thanks! I'll be sure to check out the programme you mention. We are certainly our own best advocates and while many of us aren't medical professionals, we do know our own bodies and what feels right and what doesn't. This site is a brilliant resource.
