    Fructose Abuse Question

Hello Bellx15 and welcome to the forum. :) I don’t think that there is much of a future in speculating on the causes and pathways when you have a condition with which you need to deal. I think you should concentrate on getting your BG levels right down and get your body in a better condition...

Hi.....I guess I'm joining the Type 2 club

Hello again ADM :) I think that if you can figure out how to make beer suitable for diabetics you will make an absolute fortune – never mind how many other guys out there who will be exceedingly happy!! :D 8) Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone should hold their breath. :( ( ) It...

    NEWLY DIAGNOSE

Hello Rae and welcome to the forum :) If you are not eating foods with vitamin K that takes out the leafy green veggies like kale, spinach and other greens as well as peas but that should still leave you with a fairly broad choice. The roots should be ok for you but take care not to eat too...

    Menus.

Hello again Foxglove :) Generally the WW diet plan you posted is not too bad but you may find that now you can't eat the starchy carbs. I suggest that you cut those starchy bits out or down according to how your meter says your body is coping with them. Just eat a bit more of the meat, fish...

    BG jump after morning exercise!

I think you are right, especially as you say it would normally drop your readings by 2-3 points. The cross trainer is a piece of equipment that 'eats' your energy/calories so your liver probably dumped a fair bit, most of which you burnt. :)

Unusually low BS - any ideas?

Hi Danny. :) I have just been trawling through your earlier posts and would suggest that you re-read your thread "Seeking calories" as it sounds as if it is a different aspect of the same problem. There are good suggestions on there. 8) You may just need to eat a bit more. You have lost...

    Sharps Box Disposal Nightmares!

Re: Sharps Disposal - Help Needed I think that this is yet another issue which has arisen due to funding and no-one wants to be landed with the costs involved in responsible disposal of sharps. I rather think that surreptitious disposal of said sharps into GP’s or hospital’s sharps...

    Blood Glucose readings

Hello again Marina. :) I just copied one of Sue / Ken's posts on to "Self testing - confused" on "Ask a Question" which I think you will find really helpful as so many of the rest of us already have. I don't think it can be bettered so suggest that you have a good read and try the suggestions...

    Self Testing - Confused

Hi Guinness :) You really need to keep a food diary so that you can note those readings against the meal you have eaten. Those numbers will tell you how your body reacts to the food eaten. In order to keep the numbers low you have to restrict the food which spikes the numbers, cutting it down...

    Menus.

Hi Foxglove :) What foods do you like to eat? If you give us an idea of where your tastes lie then I am sure we can come up with some suggestions of either tweaking your recipes or similar alternatives. :) Also are you testing before and 2 hours after your meals and have you noted what...

Hi Jason and welcome. :) Just above one of your earlier posts (15th April on New Diabetic - help!) you may have seen a post from Sue which gave all the advice you will need to start you off on this journey along the diabetes path. You will note that the advice on the forum is significantly...
