I live in the Haywards Heath area. Well, Burgess Hill but classed as HH. Although I am a T2 on insulin, so was automatically given monitor and strips, I was told even if I was not on insulin I would be given Test strips etc. They did lower my amount of strips but after I explained about post...

    Testing Strips

I was put on insulin at diagnosis (T2) ith no explanation. I accepted it as 1 - i was so ill in hosp with something else and 2 - knew nothing about diabetes. I have stayed on insulin (2 1/2 yrs) as I feel it gives me more freedom re food. I dont mind the injections or testing. I dont think i...

Why Do Some People Not Care?

To answer the OPs question - I DONT CARE - at the moment. I have so much else going on at the moment physically, mentally and emotionally that diabetes just doesnt come into it. Ok I still take my insulin (not enough) and met but then tend to have big blow outs - takeaway pizza being the last...

I have been on pregabalin for approx 6 months and I have had no problems whatsoever. However I was started on a very small dose an increased fortnightly up to the theraputic level. Maybe this helped. A friend of mine was put on the higher level straight away and couldnt cope with it. People are...

Clonazepam , Anyone else on this turbo charger ?

Ive been on clonazepam for years. Its a very good drug and have had no problems with it. However, trying to come off it is VERY difficult. I was on 0.5mg 4 times a day. Reduced it by 0.5mg and the effects were awful. Lots and LOTS of vomiting, incredible shakes (couldnt hold a drink) and ended...

    Emergency Services and Hospital Staff

Nah wasnt a hypo. Unconnected to diabetes, altho i did have lowish blood sugar at the time. I agree - praise where praise is due. I would have died if it wasnt for them. Yet, a week later, here I am at home, not quite 100%, but alive and well, out of hosp, and able to live my life. All thanks to...
