    Diet advice needed - newbie

4.7 is perfect not a problem at all and it would depend on when and what you last ate so it means nothing. I don’t think eating twice a day is an issue either, fasting can be good for you, look it up. I would make an appointment to see the doctor about the shakes. A variety of foods would be a...

    Percentage of carbs help please

MyFitnessPal is a free app and is widely used. You can scan barcodes on most products with them to add to a menu for the day and it works out totals. Give it a go for a few days and see what you think. It’s updated by its users so not everything on there will be 100% accurate but most things are OK.

    Reasonable adjustments at work

I would speak to your line managers manager or HR department along with a union rep if you have one. I would ask why they are using pictures of your children at this meeting.

I think you should write your aunt a letter telling her how you feel and why you want her to give up. Put in an envelope, write her name on the front, give it to her and leave her alone to read it. Maybe she doesn’t know how important it would be to you. Ask her to keep the letter somewhere were...

    Type 2 hgv food advise

I cook a load of chicken and some low carb sauce or rub, Nando’s for instance and portion it into 3 Tupperware pots. Then microwave it before I leave and throw it into a thermos. You could do the same with a meat stew, without the potatoes or a chilli, soups, pulled pork etc. Two slow cooker...

    Confused about carbs

Have a look at the amount of carbs per 100g. A good quality one won’t be that high and then look at how much your going to eat. The one I have at the moment is 7.4g. I eat it all the time along with Livlife bread toasted(from Waitrose). The bread is 3.4g per slice, 2 slices along with 50g of...

    Diabetes and sugar for exercise

The advice to carry sweets is for someone who is taking stronger meds than metformin like insulin which can cause your BG to go too low. The reduction in carbs is a good idea. The rest is way too restrictive. Have a look at dietdoctor for a diet that is sustainable. You have lost a lot of weight...
