    I am very young at age 18 and I think I have insulin resistance Genes. Can anyone offer some insight?

    I am 18 years old and I have tested my fasting glucose at home and it was 5.9, which is very high. Next I ate 2 bowls of dessert then 90 mins later I tested my glucose and it was 5.72. A1c came out to be 36 mmol/mol. Is there something wrong with me, am I developing diabetes, have my insulin...
