Newly Diagnosed Type 1 - Quick Question

Quite often if I go low overnight my liver will dump glucagon to protect my blood glucose levels and I will show as higher in the morning, this usually leads to a day of hypos while my liver recovers its store.

    Running with T1

I always run with my testing kit and Haribo in one of these - https://www.decathlon.co.uk/trail-bag-small-id_8312248.html , unfortunately from a Basal/Bolus point of view there is a lot of trial and error involved. Frio wallets - do they work?

I found the Frio worked very well recently in Spain, They stay cool based on evaporation therefore, the ambient temp will affect the cooling required. For example when in Spain I needed to "recharge" the Frio every couple of days, whereas in the UK when playing with it it took over a week to...

    Strategy Advice

I'll try both methods, it's not a common occurrence but a pain when it does happen. Still what would life be if blood sugars were easy! :)

    Strategy Advice

My last Hba1c was 5.9%, which I was told was too tight (risking hypo-unawareness) though I rarely have hypos, so I upped my target from 6.5 to 8 in an attempt to get my Hba1c up to 6.5%.
