    You may find tracking your carbs easier with one of the apps, ie. Cronometer, FatSecret, CarbManager, MyFitnessPal, and many others. The basic versions of the apps are free.

    These target levels may help.... if a certain food takes you over the '2 hour after meals' mark then that food should be avoided.

    There's also a difference between cooked and raw state of swede, Cronometer says 100g raw swede has 6.3g of carbs, while cooked swede (presumably steamed) has 4.8g carbs.
