    Please help :(

The other thing I would personally recommend is exercise. My job can be quite stressful and I find that exercise is great to just reset the brain

    Finally- pump start date

Great news Poppy. The temporary basals and multiple basal profiles will soon be your best freinds.

Confused on how much insulin I've injected?

On personal experience I'd dispute that action time. 80% used in 2 hours seems very quick to me, when I've seen activity as far out as 4-5 hours. On principal though I think you're right, it'll be finished by bedtime and will know what's going on.

    Please help :(

    1) try and calm down, stress will increase adrenaline and cortisol levels which is why your NG is elevated 2) at those levels, check for ketones 3) correct the current high, if you know your correction ratiom you may want to increase that a bit with your levels being so high, which can cause...

can you copy adn past basal profiles to then edit them, rather than starting from scratch? Say I want to set up a basal profiel with a +10% adjustment for sickness, can I do that easily, or does it need every segment entering manually?

HYPERS at night - pump user

Have you carried out any basal testing yourself to make sure your basal rates are set correctly? This involves breaking the day down into segments of 8 hours or so. You need to have had no carbs or bolus within the last 5 hours or so and start with BG in yout target range. You then need to...

    How we used to eat.

my dad's from the East End of London, not very well off at all. My nan used to make all that kind of stuff, cheap and very filling. You missed off the big fat, thick doughy yorkshire puds though. She developed T2 as well, as did my dad's elder sister. I'm the first T1 as far as I know

If you mean the one for the handset, test strips and lancet, yes they gave me that one, but as you say, doesn't fit and the button on the meter kept getting pressed.

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Well done, nt quite where you want to be but you've obviously got the motivation to change and that's where things start.

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Well done, lots of hard work to achieve that. Just had mine done again for the new pump, still at 42, so the last 2 months of buggering about with the unsuccessful pump and then back onto MDI and relatively poor control has not had an adverse effect

    DEREK has arrived!

I exchanged some harsh words with one "educator" when being told I didn't need to carb count for a bowl of lentil chilli (No rice) and that the insoluble fibre (a carbohydrate) made no difference.

Glucose fixes for tiny BS lows

They're all in that range. Apples depends on size. If I really want to push the boat out I'll go with a fig roll at 13g

    Hypo nightmare

One thing to consider as well is whether you are particularly insulin sensitive which can affect the ability to effectivel correct high levels, especially on MDI. I've got some half unit pens but even though rarely gave myself corrections on MDI because I knew even half a unit could drop me...

I've got the 70cm tubing for now and the 14U was just right. I've not played with that yet but will keep an eye on it. Need to think about where to put it at bed time though

Yep, I had that problem with the case they gave me. I've managed to fit the handset into one of my two Glucomen LX meter cases with strips and lancing device from menarini as well, avoiding the need for another lancet prescription.
