What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Yes, losing your mum is totally different from all other losses in life I find. I had been her main carer for a number of years and had to fit my life around her, so of course that produces an added emptiness. I hope to overcome that in time. Thank you for your thoughful reply.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good Morning all. I'm feeling a little 'detached' after all the events, emotions and outcomes of my mother's funeral yeterday, but also a little relieved that it all went as she'd have wished. I didn't eat at the 'do' afterwards as (a) the food was mainly high carb, and (b) I had absolutely no...

Well my fasting bg was 5.2 at 5am ... which is nice to know as today will be so difficult for me ... my dear mother's funeral :( I will be glad that she will be in Dad's grave with him by 10.15 this morning. Hunger

That seems to be true for me also. Take yesterday. I had two boiled eggs and a slither of cheddar cheese at lunchtime, with about 8 walnuts. I didn't feel the slightest bit hungry at dinnertime, so just had a coffee with cream. I had a small bowl of raspberries and cream at around 7ish, but...

Help Needed For Wife Of Diabetic Husband

It sounds to me like your husband is purposly burying his head in the sand hoping his 'problem' will just go away! I did the same at first and wasted a year where I could have had better control. Consequently I have now found that I have some damage to my eyesight :( He needs a wake up call...

Prediabetes Do They Know What They Are Talking About?

Is there any point in doing a course that will try to brainwash you? I would decline the course (politely) for now, saying that you wish to try taking control of your health your own way first!

    Better Control - Eyes Worse?

Fascinating Mr Pot. I have had glaucoma for a number of years and was told that my eyes were 'rugby ball' shaped rather than Football shaped. Then, a week before I discovered that I had Type 2, my eyesight suddenly went perfectly clear for a few days, rather than how it usually is (having to...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I am sorry to hear what a bad time you had. It's good to share these thyings though as we don't feel so alone with it. I am trying my best (and succeeding) with eating properly, but the shock has been overwhelming and I still cannot take it in fully. I shall be lost without her as I saw her...
