    Too low i don't think so ?

Just had my hba1c results of 44.1. Strange as I am sometimes above 10mmol. I am on omnipod 5. But using in manual mode as auto was sending me above 10mmol very often for long periods. I do not hypo think only twice in 2 months slight. My doctors surgery going to phone me as they do not like me...

    Omni5 and insulin resistance?

My basal prog is quite good. The problem is on auto it does not follow it at all. It deliberately lowers it a lot to get equal ratios of bolus/basal. This sends my levels high and it tries to correct by giving tiny boluses which are nowhere near enough resulting in high levels. My targets seem...

I have had the omnipod Dash since December

What I do now when the new pod canula is inserting is, I push down the pod just slightly but mostly also push the pod in direction of canular end. Seems to help me.

    Omnipod 5

There is only 2 Dsn in hospital, both are part time as they are semi retired. I am not happy about it. But I seem to be doing much better now. I am operating manually in the day and switching over to Auto before bedtime. Best of both worlds. This morning I initially woke at 4am. I was 6.2 on...

    Omni5 and insulin resistance?

That's interesting as I was once offered the T slim. So maybe this is not perfect either. A few years ago I was on a basic tubed pump "Animas" . I liked that pump. It just worked. It did very occasionally do a funny but was easy to put right. I would swap this 5 for that.

    Omni5 and insulin resistance?

Not sure, but there is a target, which it seems to ignore mostly. What it seems to do is gives micro boluses. This happens most of the time like, every 5mins. But they are small like 0, .05, .1, .15. But doesn't go higher than that. Also this adds onto the IOB total. The problem with this is it...

    Omni5 and insulin resistance?

The basal is supposed to self adjust with omni 5. But I havefasted in morning as I ate nothing but sugar went up from 8.6 to 13 ish . Yet the levels on the 5 are supposed to be directed by my target of 6.7.

    Omni5 and insulin resistance?

Just had a long walk. This brought levels down. Then threw away the nice evening meal my wife cooked and ate low carb. Looks like this is the only way with omnipod 5. I was better on injections. The inventer must not be pleased. Because no good for me. What I can't understand is why is it...

    Omni5 and insulin resistance?

Hi all Been on omni 5 now for around 3weeks approx. Don't like it much, but now wondering if I am becoming insulin resistant. After 58yrs type 1. I have read some pre bolus the novo rapid by 30mins. I been pre for 30mins. But just tried 25mins. Which slightly better. Will try 30min next. But...

    Rising sugars on pump changeover

I have also found it difficult on omnipod to get all bubbles out. I often end up holding syringe needle down and tapping so bubbles come up. Then squirt a few drops out. But the bubbles now at top. Then fill my pod, but leave the bubbles in syringe and don't squirt it all in.

    Breakfast ideas?

This morning I will have, a thickly slice of white bread, fried both sides in a pan using olive oil and probably with a freshly laid egg from our own chickens in the pan also. Olive oil is nice like this. Done so it is bit crispy.

    Omnipod 5

I am told they have already contacted my original training rep. They might get her back in for a review. But it is easy to use I can't see what difference it would make. But who knows. It's just not putting enough basal in. I noticed there is also a column where it shows extra bolus amounts. It...

    Omnipod 5

Novorapid trouble is I have been type1 for 58yrs so this might make it even slower. When I bolus my levels go up about 1mmol before lowering. I sometimes think my body is rejecting the insulin. I think the omnipod5 is not giving me enough basal. But the basal rates I put in is not used unless I...

    Omnipod 5

Well they also insisting I eat straight after bolusing. On the dash I used to delay 10 or even 20 if I was high. This morning I have eaten nothing, no carbs. But it is now on 12mmol. So, 8 when I got up, 12 now 3 1/2 hours. Still going up. It's not learning at all

    Omnipod 5

I have now been told not to email unless it is an emergency. My nurse only works part time anyway. Yesterday I bolused for 45g carbs, which I know was correct. But levels went 14 for over an hour. Then to 15, then 16, then finally 17.6. Then controller said to test blood and calibrate. Then to...

    Omnipod 5

On this system the basal cannot be increased. I put my original basal in but it has been reducing it automatically. The first 2 days were good.

    Omnipod 5

Hi been on it a bit longer now. Pdm works well, no connectivity issues. However I am constantly running high. The auto has cut down my basal a lot. I have increased my bolus amounts. So bow I am now close to 50/50 bolus to basal amounts. Still high. I have been told to not fiddle. So now this...

    Breakfast ideas?

Egg on glut free toast. Glut free cornflakes, with a chopped up apple. I been type1 for 58yrs and celiac for 2. Glut free sausages are nicer than normal on glut free bread. I always weigh my food for carbs.

    Omnipod 5

Hi I am now on the 5. I see your levels are 80% plus. So is mine just about. I was hoping it would be better. What levels would yours be in the daytime if you kept carbs down. I went carb free for most of the day and it still went above 10mmol. But bedtime it's much lower and steady.
