Well done Daz!! I had my 3 month check last week, and my results where 6.0, cholesterol 4, triglycides 1.7. I thought this was great, and so did the Dr, but then she said about putting me on Metormin :? . I said why would I go on drugs when my levels are good? So she reluctantly agreed. But when...

    Test Strips withdrawn

As I said in another post, we are so lucky in Northern Ireland as we don't pay for our prescriptions, and I have no problem with my GP prescribing them. But it does make me feel uneasy/guilty that the likes of pensioners on the mainland have to pay, seems so unfair

Cheers cearapeter!! I really don't know what I would have done if I had not found this site, it really has been a God send. One of the big things I have noticed, is that we are lucky in Northern Ireland as we don't have to pay for our prescriptions, and I have no problem with my GP prescribing...

    Newish type 2

I was testing myself 4 times a day to see what was good and what was bad, but as I'm more or less sticking to the same foods, and since my BG seems to have leveled out, for the last couple of weeks I have only been testing myself first thing in the morning, and once in the evening. My BG on a...

Hi all! I first thought I had diabetes at the end of January this year. it started with the compulsive thirst, then a sudden loss of weight. I think like most people now days my first point of call was the internet, which more or less confirmed my thoughts. I made an appointment with my...
