    all is not well

Thank you for explaining. I am sorry I jumped to the wrong conclusion.

    all is not well

I am sorry you have been through this too. Are you still having cancer treatment?

    all is not well

I am not sitting back and waiting. I am being as pro active as I can. I tried various milkshakes in the hospital and they were disgustingly sweet and strong flavoured to me. It's part of my weird taste buds issue. Things don't taste the way they should. I may be oversensitive or...

    all is not well

An update. I still have a dry mouth, heightened sense of smell and altered taste. I don't know why. I am living on whole milk, a banana a day, and rich tea biscuits. I am having a good multivitamin too. Anything else tastes disgusting. My GP has no suggestions, possibly from the covid? It seems...

    all is not well

I don't understand. Am I not being seen within the target? At this point, all I have is a short visit from the urologist to me in hospital saying the CT scan says I have a tumour, which in his opinion looks malignant. I don't have a formal diagnosis yet, or know the degree of the tumour. I am...

    all is not well

This is true, but the reality is that targets are missed due to lack of staff and resources. However, I think I am within the recommended timeframe.

    all is not well

I have my appointment with the urology consultant, on the 21st January. This seems like a long wait to me. I phoned the consultants secretary to tell her I am available earlier, at short notice, if there is a cancellation.

    all is not well

There are no cancer cells in the lung fluid sample. Of course, the consultant said to be cautiously optimistic about this, as there is still a small chance it has spread. I may have the drain removed, and then I can go home. The multidisciplinary team meet tomorrow and will ring us to sort out...

    all is not well

Still no test results. The waiting is hard. I want to be out of doubt, but the idea of the test showing cancer cells in my lungs is terrifying me too.

I have gone quiet as I am waiting for the results of further tests. I should know more tonight or tomorrow morning. I am still in hospital. Xxx

    Carbs-independent remission

Listen. For over 10 years I have successfully controlled my type 2 diabetes only through low carbing (80g a day) and full fat but not extra fats. I have lost NO weight in this time. I can't exercise, for various reasons. My success is ONLY due to my dietary changes.I really don't know why you...

    all is not well

They were planning on doing the CT scan today, but I can't lie flat enough to breathe yet. The hospital are going to do it as soon as I can breathe enough.

    all is not well

Just catching up. Thank you for all your messages. I can breathe much, much better now. It's amazed me to look back and realised how ill I was. I am not as tired now either, which helps too. I am halfway through the drainage. 3.5 litres drained so far. Your support is helping. I think I...

    all is not well

Pleural drain in. Procedure went well. 1 lire drained, 5 more litres to drain over the next day or two. No wonder I was struggling to breathe. The medical people are wonderful.

    all is not well

All went smoothly at the hospital. I am going in to the respiratory ward tomorrow, for 4 - 5 days. My left lung is full of fluid, and part of my right one. They are going to drain them gradually, and then be able to do the CT scans etc. I just got back and feel in a daze. The consultant said she...

    all is not well

No CT scan possible. They are sending me an appointment for two weeks time. Hopefully my breathing will have improved by then. I see the respiratory consultant tomorrow morning.
