    Swimming

As do I. As @Juicyj says lifeguards are brilliant and everyone knows the pink bag is mine.

    Swimming

I switch out of range off. Permanently! Does my head in lol! I keep my kit pool side and when I climb out and move back into range it usually beeps to tell me I’m high. Unavoidable for me when doing a hard swim unfortunately. Enjoy!

Ok, this is a problem that should be fixed

I think to be fair we choose the number ourselves that we don’t wish to dip below. For me it is 4.4. You could then do a blood test if you wished. I personally very rarely do as Libre for me is pretty bang on accurate. However there is an alarm you can then set to remind you to recheck in 15...

    New user of Libre 2

I have to confess I do most of my calculations in my head or on a bit of paper. Then just input into the Libre app on my phone. I ind the one app is more than enough.

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Why do you think 43 is too low. Did it come with lots of hypos. In the days of cgms getting a lower HbA1c is much more achievable. My last was 41 with a good TIR and I do not consider it too low. I am aiming for the high 30s albeit with a high in range %

Help..Getting bored with veg and dairy

Surely all those skills can be used to bring joy to others. I’m a type 1 but have chosen not to eat many carb heavy foods. There is no way I would eat anything sweet baked for example. However I get immense pleasure from baking for others.

    Who sits above GP's ?

Sorry @Carl Wood I disagree. You are getting yourself involved in pointless agro. We get free health care, so should be prepared to have to jump through what we perceive as waste of time appointments every now and again to allow them to complete their paperwork.

New to this, what’s best for a night out?

I waited 4 months til I felt pretty confident with my management and then got back to it. Have to say I never over do it these days though. Just pace myself and enjoy.

    Control solutions

I do. They go out of date and should also only be open a certain amount of time so regularly reorder over the phone. It did throw up a rogue batch of test strips once.

    Type 1'stars R Us

Hi all. Still here browsing everyday. Keeping fit and well and getting very excited for the arrival of second grandchild in the next couple of weeks. The first one has given us and is still giving us (Pops and Nana) oodles of pleasure. As we only have the one son, having unfortunately lost 4...

    Intermittent fasting

Hi @Dudette1 I regularly don’t eat beyond 3pm til my breakfast the following morning. 6-8am depending on when I wake. Haven’t had a problem with it. I am retired and cook main meal between 1-3 and never feel a need to eat later. I know I have no food/insulin on board at bedtime which helps with...

    Type 1 Libre 3

The 3 is not just very small, it is so light that you forget you have it on. I missed the rolling TIR but loved that you didn’t have to scan. I also found it very accurate. But to be fair 2 is very accurate for me also. I very rarely test bloods, and when I do they are pretty much bang on the same.

    Type 1 Libre 3

@Zinadane as far as I’m aware at the moment it is only for specific people. To be fair I loved the 3 when I got my freebie following the trial I did and would have it like a shot. However I am aware there are still many people struggling to get a 2. And would feel a little guilty about getting...
