    Libre delivery times

Just thought I'd give them a pat on the back. They're warning of delays on delivery of up to a fortnight due to significant demand. So ordered on line Sunday and delivered today at 10.30 - that's quicker than before there was a huge demand! F

Sorry it was such a rubbish appointment. Hope your cough improves even without medical help. Perhaps they should have advised you about having a blood test before your session. Take care Frances

First ever insulin injection - please help!

Hi You're on a basal insulin that works over a long time rather than a fast acting bolus insulin so you won't see an immediate change in your bs but you should see a difference the following morning hopefully. You should always repeat the airshot if you don't see liquid coming out to ensure it's...

    Tresiba question

You can get the cartridges - you just have to say that's what you want. My go also gave me the pre filled pens but they only come as whole unit delivery and I needed 1/2 unit delivery. I have a novo nordisk echo in a contrasting colour to my novorapid one. Frances

    Over-sensitive to Insulin

A pump or not should be your choice alone - sorry your consultant has not been helpful. Are you using 1/2 units - that made my control much better on small doses (1/2 units for Tresiba too)

    Diabeties and insulin.. Meh

It might also be worth getting your doc to do some tests for other autoimmune conditions -suggesting this as I had thyroid issues then Addison's and now LADA. Hope you get things sorted.

    A bit of denial...

The medics say these things as they now seem to think that giving us worst case scenarios is the quickest way to get us to be perfect. They don't seem to realise that v few of us are perfect and therefore it's natural for us to assume that severe complications are the definite result. I happen...

Anyone using the Novopen Echo (as a grown up)

I'm using a 1/2 unit pen for both tresiba and novorapid (luckily in different coloured pens) - dsn at hospital supplied both.
