    Type 1 and confused

Welcome to the forum. You're absolutely not overreacting - 6 weeks is still very new to everything that's involved with T1d and illness and stress are extra complications so you should be congratulating yourself on managing this new diagnosis. It does get easier with more knowledge. There are...

    Accu chek Smart pix 2

If you've got the USB connector (realtyme) then the diasend up loader on your computer should load all the data into diasend - I sometimes have to press buttons on my meter to keep it awake while the data is uploading.

    LADA/Type 1 and Addison's Disease?

Hi I have both, Addisons first and then LADA much more recently. The steroids can make bloods run higher but so can everything else. I'm lucky in that my addisons is very stable so I have to say the diabetes is much harder work for me.

Weetabix is quite high carb - could you try eating just one to raise your levels and see if that stops you going up to 8?

    Gorgeous day at Brean

Collapsed in front of telly after fab day at Brean -climbed to the fort on Brean Down, pub lunch (burger 5 chips no bun) and then 2&1/2 hour walk on beach (fitbit says 10 miles in all) - windy but sunshine all day: smiles

    Bad day...

2 biscuits & ice cream do not cancel out your 5 amazing days so just get back on the wagon and you're back on track. I know easier said than done but just remember your good days!

    Diasend - anybody use this?

I've a laptop and my Libre(automatically) and my meter both get uploaded so I can see all my results in one place - the app is good for a quick snapshot too. I do have to use the accu-check USB device to upload my meter results.

    Type 2 Help

Cutting down on carbs is a good move and exercise is always a plus - I think there's a sense of panic when anyone gets diagnosed but it gets better with time and the forum is full of helpful people whatever the question.

Type 1 Playing golf with Type 1 diabetes

I don't play golf but I found out for longish walks for me (2-3 hours) that starting high didn't help or stop hypos - and I was better not starting too high and just having a small snack on the way - Libre does make checking easier! It's never a perfect science but...
