    Victoza side effects?

After 10 months of trying Trulicity, (allergic reaction on injection sites), Ozempic, (a bout of Vertigo) then Victoza I finally had a face-to-face appointment with the diabetes sister at the surgery for my annual review. In spite of an HbA1c of 44, the lowest I've ever been, we decided that I...

    Foot cream

Hello Neil. My podiatrist recommended Flexitol which I find very good. I have soft cotton socks which I wear after creaming my feet and within a few days they looked much better, no longer dry and flaky. The socks always come off in the middle of the night!

    Just started Trulicity

Good morning and good luck to both of you. I always had a weight problem too .Trulicity certainly helped with losing weight but adopting and sticking to a medium/low carb diet for five years was the real game changer for me. Bringing down the blood readings was the best result for me. That...

    Just started Trulicity

Hello. I've had a bit of a roller coaster with GLP1 inhibitors. I started Trulicity last October and was nauseous for a couple of weeks. It cut my appetite which was a bit of a problem as I eat low carb and not much anyway. It brought my HbA1c from 52 to 47 in 3 months but the problem was that...

Type 2 Help please. Need to sound off.

Hello. Thank you for that. After controlling things myself for so long I had begun not to trust my judgement any longer. I did feel that I needed to discuss this with someone but there's always the concern of not wanting to bother anyone. I am lucky in that I do have hypo awareness after many...

Type 2 Help please. Need to sound off.

Hello everyone. I'm feeling in a bit of a muddle. I happened to mention last year to an endocrinology consultant that the low carb diet didn't seem to be working still and I'd put on a bit of weight. The result was a phone call from the diabetes nurse who put me on Trulicity. This was fine for...

    Anyone use ozempic pen

Hello all. Happy Easter. I was on Trulicity for 3 months but unfortunately developed an allergic reaction to it so was moved to Ozempic 6 weeks ago. I was fine on the 0.25mg dose but since moving up to 0.5mg I've been having nausea, slight dizziness, headaches and fatigue. All are common side...

    Changing medication

Hello. I felt quite sick after I'd eaten but after 2 or 3 weeks that died down. I have always injected in my thigh. I probably press too hard but I occasionally have a bruise. But stick with it if you can. Last August my HbA1c was 51; I began the Dulaglutide at the end of October and had a...

    B12 and metformin

Yes I do. I was prescribed it a couple of years ago after 23 years on Metformin. I started with a high dose but as my B12 increased we dropped the dose ending up taking one every three days. It's mostly fine now but occasionally I do need to take it for a few months to top up. No side effects...

Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

These all make me feel terribly guilty. I started well with Greek yoghurt, mixed berries and home made granola baked with coconut flakes, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, walnuts, linseed mixed with coconut oil, ginger and cinnamon. Four hours sleep last night then put paid to will power and I had...

    Changing medication

Good morning all. I have recently been changed from Saxagliptin to a weekly injection of Dulaglutide. The package information gives feeling sick as one of the side effects. I wondered if anyone else has had the same problem and how long it took to settle down. I've had three injections now and...

    Changing medication

Good morning everyone. It has been suggested that I change from taking Saxagliptin to Trulicity (Dulaglutide). Does anyone have any experience of this which they could share please? Is it effective? Have you had side effects? I'd be really grateful to be forearmed with questions. Many thanks.

    Metformin

I have to take B12. A couple of years ago my B12 level was low and my doctor explained that taking Metformin long term (about 20 years for me) can create a problem with B12 absorption. I can now get away with 1 every 3 days.

    Dizzyness

Hi. I really sympathise as I understand how it is. I'd go along with the have the blood pressure checked advice. Mine tends to be on the low side between 104/64 and 110/70 and in June I spent a day in our local hospital because it dropped to 54/?. One of the explanations I was given, and I...

    Share Your Progress!

Well done to all the fantastic people who have worked so hard to reduce or come off medication. It can be hard but is so worthwhile. I only wish I had known 26 years ago when I was diagnosed, what I know now. The brilliant help from this site would have changed my life.

    Leg cramps & Metformin?

Hello all. It's strange that this should appear this morning as I had the worst cramp for months at 4 o'Clock this morning. I have suffered badly for a long time. Extreme exercise, white wine and goodness knows what else triggers it but yesterday I didn't realise until lying awake, that I'd had...
