I had the same DKA a couple of months ago but with a small foot ulcer. They really should have kept you in till ur BM's & ketones were normal. Perhaps even carrying on the IV antibiotics and fluids ( depending on blood tests) It took them/me two weeks to get rid of the infection and back...
