soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I spent the weekend in 2 woollen jumpers and thermal undergarments and still couldn't stop shivering ( until My muscles went into spasm that is) I'm not as bad today, but I can't get warm. I'm sure this is part of a syndrome. Can't mobilise fats to get warm, Put on weight ( not any more) and develop T2.
I have lost weight on low carb, but am still freezing. Thyroid has been checked, but it's not low enough to treat.( PCT again)
Anyone got any ideas,
? other than thermal LJs. I have those. And I have done 45 minutes hard work out this morning.

You're not alone,Hana.I never used to feel the cold but now that I've lost weight I am constantly cold.It was about -11 here the other night and I just could not keep warm.

You think your cold ...... My Hot-Tub was frozen over this morning !!!!
and my gas meter is taking £5 a day .

You could try moving to Florida or become a pyromaniac lol

Autonomic neuropathy can effect your body temp, not being able to control it, also if you have an infection of any kind you will get cold chills and muscle spasms through shivering.

As far as I know, I haven't got neuropathy and I know I haven't got a hot-tub. I did scrape ice off my car this morning, before going to aqua exercises at 8:00 am Swimming pool was cold too. I was shiverin g after 10 minutes. I can never get warm in the pool.

im always cold, ive taken to wearing thermals even in the house, i also warm up my heat bags and keep popping them on my neck or anywhere else,it helps for a bit :)

I'm not used to feeling the cold as much as I'm doing right now! brrrrrrrr

Hi Hana,
Me too - I've never felt the cold as much as I am this year. We are off to Switzerland for Christmas this year and having seen the conditions in the village we are staying on a webcam, and the snow and temperature reports, I'm not sure now that it was such a good idea after all!!

I bought a set of thermals in Garmisch last year and I wear those out walking. I find LJs one of the best things, but this week has beed awful. Our friends' house in Dorset is very cold. I'm home now and here isn't too bad as long as I don't go outside. Even tthe dogs rush into their indoor kennel if I suggest going outside.

Oh I'm so glad its not just me, I have been freezing lately and on my xmas list is a hot water bottle!!

I've never felt the cold so much as I have the last couple of weeks and my hands are like solid ice blocks all the time!! Not even my gloves can keep them warm!

I'm absolutely freezing all the time lately. Started around May and hasn't stopped since. Even in bed with a 13.5 tog uvet and crocheted woollen blanket on top. sometimes it's socks and old fleece on in bed too. Even used the cat for a hot water bottle!! only problem was she wouldn't keep still!!!!!!!

My wife has a solution to the problem - me :D Provided I am first into bed :(

She isn't diabetic, but is on heart medications, & I suspect that has its effect of her ability to keep warm.

I'm cold too what we need is a group hug to generate some heat, can I be in the middle please ladies.

central heating, my own inbuilt central heating, (sweating that is ) legwarmers and socks / bed jackets/cardys, in/ and out of bed, keep me warmish, Love hugs, Graham, of any description lol

I cant believe how cold I am today. Have a very large mug of hot tea, thick socks on my feet my blankie wrapped around me and joggers and a jumper!!!!! Its freezing.

Ditto, I feel a bit bummed out because I was only able to walk for 15 minutes instead of my usual half an hour. This is while wearing opaque tights under jeans, long-sleeve t-shirt, jumper on top and a cardi on top of that! And gloves!! Oh well, guess i'll have to make up for it on the exercise bike (and one last cuppa before bed!)
