Finding it too much to deal with now

I actually don't, I feel okay in myself. I'm still on fixed doses. I don't think I've had my insulin regime changed since moving to insulin I'm on: 90 units of Tresiba 40 units of Novorapid (Breakfast) 44 units of Novorapid (Lunch) 48 units of Novorapid (Evening) I should also be on Ozempic...

Finding it too much to deal with now

I've now been referred to have some counselling sessions, but have been put on a waiting list for it. My blood sugars are still high at 25.3 and 24.6 on waking up this morning and when I went for both my flu jab and covid booster, I got told that I haven't had my Hba1c done since May this year.

Finding it too much to deal with now

I feel like just accepting defeat and accept that no matter what I do, this disease is slowly defeating me. I'm just injecting with myself with whatever dosages of insulin that I feel like, the SR metformin I'm not even taking it, as its unsettling my gut everytime now. I'm missing half of my...

Struggling to keept my diabetes under control. Last HBa1C was 106

I would like to be able to have regular face to face appointment with them, rather than for them to call me back and to be put on a different insulin regime and different insulin treatments if possible. I've already ran out of Ozempic and can't get any from any chemist.

Struggling to keept my diabetes under control. Last HBa1C was 106

I've been looking after myself a bit better, but I still have a long way to go. I don't know if my meter is busted or not, as I've had readings of 14+ and diarrhea for the past 3 days and I've only had 2 weetabix for breakfast, followed by lunch which has been either bacon and eggs with grated...

Struggling to keept my diabetes under control. Last HBa1C was 106

I'm having some difficulties trying to bring my blood sugars back in normal range. Due to cost of food prices going up, I've had to make several cuts in my food shopping and resort back to buying food that is more carbs than protein or fat. But now, whenever my blood sugars get back into the...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

This is thing I feel fine and no I don't have a sick day plan. I didn't even know that there is one I could have done by my diabetes nurse, as I've not seen mine since before Coronavirus hit.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I had a infected blister on my right heel that has been causing me problems. Later yesterday, I went to my doctors had some blood tests done, then at 11:15pm got woken up by my parents saying that the doctors are on the phone, saying that I need to go to the hospital now as my blood tests came...

Too many distractions and feeling burnout

I've just about had enough of dealing with my blood sugars swinging from low to high and then high to low for the past week. I've been trying to be smart with what foods I can afford and eat, but it is getting almost impossible for me to buy the foods (eggs, mayo, bacon etc) that won't increase...

Open sore on heel of foot.

It's still painful to walk on, but I've kept the dressing on for 3 days as advised. Been to see my doctors today, who have advised me to take some antibiotics and referred me to a lymphoedema clinic for my legs as they are still swollen and red hot to touch.

Open sore on heel of foot.

I went the walk-in this morning where it was a 30 minute wait. They've said that it's a burst blister, next to some hard skin on the heel. They've prescribed me some antibiotics, dressed it up and I've got to call my doctors on Tuesday for a check up on it and hopefully they will prescribe me...

Open sore on heel of foot.

I've noticed over the past few days that the heel of my right foot has been painful, so I've gone and checked it tonight and I have a open sore as a size of a £2 coin and my whole foot and leg is really swollen and hot to touch. I recently went to have my feet taken care of by a chiropodist on...

Type 2 diabetic with major gut problems and my GP won't even see me

Just had a letter come through from the gastro team who are now going to put me on Creon, due to finding out that my faecal calproctecin is normal (19) but my faecal elastase is low (59) and also referred me to a dietitian. I feel so relieved that I've got the results back, but concerned about...

New evidence shows it's a waste of time.

I was unlucky enough to have Covid in November 2020, before the vaccinations came out. No need to go up hospital, but I was off work for 6 weeks.

    Wavesenss Jazz Meter readings inaccurate

Has anyone had issues with the Wavesense Jazz testing strips being inaccurate? I had a hypo on Friday night, without noticing it before I fell unconscious. Luckily, there was a first aider nearby with his own meter who tested me and my bs level was at 3.3, despite my own meter telling me that...

Type 2 diabetic with major gut problems and my GP won't even see me

I'm on Novorapid, Tresiba and Ozempic injections. Metformin SR, Spironolactone, Cardeviol tablets and Testosterone gel. I've only had the tarry stools once, every other time that I had diarrhoea, its been brown and more liquid than solid.

Type 2 diabetic with major gut problems and my GP won't even see me

For me, the problem is not metformin. As I've been off it for a month.
