Hi, happy new year to you too I inject 16am and pm, I use 5mm needles and I do pinch the flesh around the site. :S i try and inject as perpendicularly as I can. The first lump I noticed two nights ago and it's still here, bit smaller but still here then last night I noticed a lump where I'd...

    Bad batch??

Hi all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! So yesterday I spotted quite a large lump on the inside of my thigh where I inject my levemir, I know to rotate injection sights and I thought it had been, but it's about 2/3 inches long by an inch. So this morning I injected in the other leg on the outside of my thigh...

Blood glucose 23.8 type 2 diabetes

Hi David, I was diagnosed in October this year and have always been under the hospital. I don't know where you live but I would fully recommend Queen Elizabeth's in Woolwich, since diagnosis I've seen my dietician twice, nurse twice n doctor twice... in three months. I am type 1, but I can't...

    Type1. Looking to tone up

I do everything you said, I use 5mm, fresh ones everytime. And I always squeeze the skin around the injection. :S sometimes it just stings, :( other times I have to double check it's in as I can't feel anything haha guess it's just pot luck as to whether it's going to hurt or not :S

Has anyone tried Vida or MyFitnessPal?

I use "my fitness pal" to count my carbs, it's brilliant, I've found most things pretty accurate, but just remember it's a bit like Wikipedia in the fact that anyone can put things up there... but so far so good for me :)

    Type1. Looking to tone up

Before I was diagnosed in October, I was in a pretty healthy routine, gym 3/4 times a week, since diagnosis I haven't been at all... I'm a bit worried about the fact that the injections hurt less and are more efficient in fatty tissue, anyone got any hints or guidance on how tone up n loose...

    Research Treatment trials

Well, 2 hours after drinking a 70g (of carbs) milkshake, fasting from midnight and no morning basal my BG went from 6.3 to 10.4... not too shabby. Looking positive but gotta wait 2 weeks for official results :(

Forgive my niavity but what do you mean from 1700 onwards? Do you only use the pump in the day time?

    Type 1s: What's your PB?

I'm sat here in my staff room looking at my lunch and thinking holy **** this is gonna be a big injection I think my highest fast acting injection was 16 for a chip shop dinner but this lunch is gonna creep up there with that, home made soup 35g rolls 30g each, gingerbread man 45g and I also ate...

    obstinate Type1 son

I totally agree with this. I've only been diabetic for 2 months, so I was already an adult, going out, doing things socially, I'd been to uni, done my partying. I think your son is literally struggling with how to be an adult and have diabetes. I've had to work out how to fit it in to my "old...
