Not to mention every time I step on the scales, nothing changes..... Feeling a bit demotivated by everything. Considering trying out the...

Evening all, hope you've all enjoyed your Bank Holiday. Having some weird blood sugars today. Started off at 5.7 which was fine but after lunch went up to 6.8 despite only having 6g carbs. Don't know if it's just the heat today or dehydration or what, but that was a shock. L: Low carb bagel...

That menu looks fine to me, low carb and high fat, and 5.7 is a great level. I agree with @Goonergal in that if you don't enjoy what you eat then this way of eating just isn't sustainable. I hope you manage to find the right balance for you soon!

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Amazing numbers! Haha, I did think it sounded a little too good to be true! Still thinking about cooking one up and putting it in the fridge for a few days worth of lunches though. Would make a tasty change.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Wow that is a very reasonable carb count for a ready made pizza. May have to give this a go.

    Magnificent May Fast!

I know exactly how you feel about the baguette... they're my achilles heel too. Probably the thing I miss most on LCHF! Thanks for your response - I am really just curious as I am still relatively new to all this. I would like to be able to get my numbers down to a decent level and maintain...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Happy Friday everyone! Very typical menu for me today but scales suggest I've lost another couple of pounds. High fasting glucose this morning upon waking but I've been sleeping poorly for about two weeks so I'm hoping it's just that or the dawn phenomenon!! L: Low carb bagel with a smear of...

    Magnificent May Fast!

I am curious - when you eventually break your extended fasts, do these numbers stick around, or do you find you go back to 'normal' (i.e. before the fast)?

    Increasing fats

I make these cheesecake fat bombs and stick them in the freezer for days when I'm struggling to meet my fat macros: https://www.fatforweightloss.com.au/recipe/cheesecake-fat-bombs/ They're very tasty (especially if you add a bit of peanut butter) and almost feel like an ice cream when taken from...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.8 upon waking. I haven't been testing when I wake up, this is the first time, and I don't know why it's so high. Maybe dawn phenomenon? Not feeling great about it.
