Help! Weight seems to be shooting up daily!

So I was diagnosed two weeks ago, threw myself onto a low carb high fat diet instantly and by last Thursday had lost roughly 12kgs (mostly water weight I know). My usual weigh in day is a Sunday so to keep it scientific I weighed myself again. I was up from 191.2kg on Thursday to 193.4kg on...

    I wish I hadn’t done it

I'm new, diagnosed 2 weeks ago and don't self test yet as the thought of more pokes and prods after the year I've had is just too much for me. My opinion is don't beat yourself up for the odd slip up, you're human at the end of the day. We all like things that are bad for us. Me personally...

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

Feeling a little deflated this morning, Sundays are my chosen in weigh in day, I'd weighed myself early this week because I was excited to see what was happening. So between now and then I've gained 2.3kgs it seems. Not sure what I've done wrong tbh, apart from the zero calories fruit creations...

    Type 2 Robinsons Fruit Creations

I've only been on the lchf for about 2 weeks now, seems to be going really well so far in terms of weight loss, 12kg lost so far. I'm still drinking these, but once they've gone they're gone, even then I'm only having a glass with my meals, everything else is either green tea or water and I...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Breakfast was 2 eggs fried in olive oil and 4 rashers of bacon. Lunch was lean 150g rump steak and half a portobello mushroom, my appetite disappeared. I've had a slice of ham and am now waiting on a low carb korma.

How do you test blood sugars if you're needle phobic?

I'm not quite phobic of needles but after 5 months of daily injections, pokes, prods and pricks the thought of doing anything like checking my bloods fills me with dread. Are there other options?

    Type 2 Robinsons Fruit Creations

Ah ****... I thought he may have been on to something with these. I drink a lot and find water very boring. What drinks do you guys recommend that have some flavour but won't effect my blood sugars so much?

    Type 2 Robinsons Fruit Creations

Again I apologies So I'm doing my absolute damnedest to stick to a LCHF diet and my future father in law who is also type 2 suggested Robinson fruit creations as a healthy alternative, with no added sugar and personally for me no Aspartame. I guess its okay only having one glass a day but I...

Question about Aspartame and type 2 diabetes?

Apologies if this is in the wrong section but I was curious if anyone knows if Aspartame can cause type 2 diabetes. I've been diagnosed just over a week and know my blood test had a level of around 32 only 6 months ago, now 56. I absolutely loved fizzy drinks and about 6 months ago decided to...

Yet another newly diagnosed type 2, saying hello!

Sorry accidentally hit send there... Nice lady but didn't really tell me much I wasn't already aware of. She did reduce my meds telling me to skip my lunch time Metformin and I felt so much better in myself yesterday. She does want to keep an eye an eye on my blood pressure though, as it was...

Yet another newly diagnosed type 2, saying hello!

Hi Guys, I was diagnosed type 2 last Thursday and prescribed 500mg Metformin three times a day. I had a score of 56. I'm not surprised I've become diabetic, I've had a rough 12 months. I was savagely attacked at work on fathers day last year, my leg broken in 12 places and now held together...
