    Ozempic

Paul_37 Interested to hear how you get on. My doctor has today written me a prescription for it, have to pick it up yet. Reading around would put you off taking it, so I'm not going to read any more and give it a try myself.

Are others having their regular review cancelled?

Nothing here at all. Clinics were cancelled at the first lockdown last year and no word of diabetic clinic starting up again. I was told to make sure I get my eyes tested as they depend on the optician to do the screening now as there is none from the hospital via GP. I haven't the energy to...

    First agoraphobia, now this!

Hi isomertwin, It's ironic isn't it we get our freedom and then it seems like it's taken away again. I'm a type 2 with mental health issues, arthritis of the spine (top, middle and bottom!!), sciatica, among other things, find it difficult to walk far (and we live on a hill!!!), and I was in...

    Colonoscopy - Help!!

Thanks Ian. Apparently cauliflower and avocado are high in fibre. Fish I will add to my list. It's normally 3 days for the diet, but as I have problems "clearing out" I have been asked to do 5 days. My last one of 3 days didn't work. So I really want to give this my best shot of working...

    Colonoscopy - Help!!

It's all to do with the fibre. Looks like my diet will be eggs, cheese and yogurt. I can have cream soups, not vegetable broth or soup.

    Colonoscopy - Help!!

I've got a colonoscopy coming up and have to do a 5 day special diet. Breakfast and lunch are ok. My problem is dinner, I'm allowed potatoes, but being low carb I don't have these. No vegetables are allowed - what do I eat for dinner - I can't eat just meat!! I'm not a big meat eater to...

    Slow Cooker

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. Yesterday I made gammon in orange fanta zero, very successful. I never knew how hard it would be putting dinner on and walking away!! It's very tempting to keep having a peek, especially when you have no idea how it is doing. Today we had lamb...

    Slow Cooker

Hope it turns me into a better cook!! Mornings are better for me, by mid afternoon I'm flagging, so hoping by preparing meals and leaving to cook it'll help a lot.

    Slow Cooker

Thank you so much. Got to nip out, then I'll get on to these. Shopping day tomorrow so need the ideas. As I said above doing a google search just took me round in circles. I look forward to this new way of cooking, a new interest!!

It just totally confused me. I suffer with depression and trying to get through all options lost me. I appreciate the help.

    Slow Cooker

I've just bought a slow cooker. Could someone please point me in the right direction for low-carb recipes? The search button hasn't been much use. :banghead:

Type 2 What to eat with soup

I had the same problem - couldn't eat soup without bread. I make my own soup and put it in a mug to drink. Find I don't want bread any more by drinking it.

Can anyone help? Trying to work out what spiked me in this meal...

    Post your annoyances to vent!

When a type 1 smugly tells me type 2 don't need to test! grrrrrrrrrrrrr

    LC Christmas Pudding

Thanks, DCUKMod. Ohhhhhh I knew I shouldn't click on those recipes!!! Found a low carb cranberry sauce in one and a low carb sugar free Christmas Yule log in the other. Might just have to have a go at the Yule log soon though, would be a shame to wait until Christmas. :)

    Spiralling Health Problems

Good advice already offered so I'll just answer on the gallstones. I had my gallbladder removed less than 3 months after giving birth when I had just turned 22. I rolled the floor in pain many a night. They are very painful and can cause pain all over (pain can go up to the shoulder too) -...
